Family and Friends

Dear Family, Friends and wonderful fans.

I have recently been going through a lot of mail from you guys and I wanted to take this opportunity to say a few things.

First, I would like to preface by appologizing for any late replies to mail I have been sent. I try to get to it all asap but sometimes it goes through a number of different channels before I even see it and time can slip away.

But the main reason for me writing is that I have found myself totally overwhelmed at the amount of support you have all been giving me in this time.

Its true, to have something you put your heart into taken away can be difficult, painful and sometimes confusing. In this instance all of the above. But never do you expect to receive anything like the amount of cards, letters and notes of appreciation and love that I have recently. It has been awesome!

Thank you all so very much.

Only too well do I understand the attachment so many of you had to Moonlight and to Mick, Beth, Josef and the gang but now that they have been laid to rest I can only hope you will all follow me into my next exciting adventure, whatever that may be.

We all fought so hard.
We all worked so hard.
I guess some things are simply out of our hands.

I look forward with great anticipation to giving you all the news of the next chapter in this crazy career of mine!!
And again, thanks for all the wonderful support.

Warmest regards

Alex O’loughlin. x o x

It’s going to be hard to give up on Moonlight, Alex. That show changed my life and until I see Mick again I can’t give up.

Alex is such a fantastic person that genuinely cares for his fans. I completely understand he must work and has to be actively looking. He can’t wait on if Moonlight gets picked up. I honestly hope it does get picked up for a 2nd season or we at least get a series of movies and the entire cast is available (including Trevor Munson and the team) at that time.

No matter what Alex says, it isn’t that easy to let go of Moonlight. I have never been this hooked on a show! Moonlight is the best thing that has come along on TV in a long time. It was the reason I started watching CBS on Friday night, the reason I tuned into Ghost Whisperer (I didn’t want to miss the very beginning of Moonlight).

The fans of Moonlight are like no other and I am so proud to be a part of this exceptional fan base. We have given of ourselves to promote charity, donate to the Red Cross, Virtual Food Drives, and yes, we are fighting for this show, Alex, Sophia and Jason. The cast and crew are remarkable!

Bottom line is I am SO disillusioned with CBS that they could cancel a show like this when it was consistently winning its time slot in the face of much adversity. Compared to everything this fledling show had to deal with, it came out on top every Friday night at 9pm. I am still in a state of disbelief and sadness over CBS’ unwarranted decision. As Matt Roush said, “CBS blew it.”

    Alex,
Thank you for giving us something worth fighting for. As I stated in another message board, once in your lifetime (if you are lucky enough)something like Moonlight comes along.
Everything and everyone just clicked. You and Sophia just have a wonderful chemistry, as do all of the actors. A “hero” vampire. Whoever heard of such a thing? But that is one reason the show is so successful. You would be a hero in any situation. When you put your hand out for the child, Beth and she took your hand and you picked her up and carried her to safety, you blew me away. I just said, “Yes, yes, that’s my show. Thank you again for giving us something worth fighting for.
    With love,
    Tricia

    Alex,

I just went on the internet to see when Moonlight would be back on for this season, and was stunned to see it would not. I too only watched Ghost Whisper so I wouldn’t miss a minute of Moonlight…. You were intoxicating and I just loved the other cast members as well.
    Keep us posted…..
