Ashley Tisdale is the November 2008 covergirl for Seventeen magazine. I think she looks cute and fresh on the cover! Here are some highlights of the interview included in the magazine…

On relationships:Relationships help you learn more about what you want. If one doesn’t work out, you just kind of look at it and go, Okay, well, this is what I did like and this is what I didn’t like, and this is what I did wrong, and maybe I need to be more like this. And so you learn things, and that’s why you grow. And you bring all the stuff that you’ve changed about yourself to a new relationship until you finally find that person you really, really want.

On seeing other celebrities: I get crazy over reality stars. When I see a star who’s an actor, someone like Jake Gyllenhaal, I don’t get very starstruck. I’m like, ‘Oh, well, I’m an actor too.’ And it’s cool because we’re all doing the same thing. But reality stars, you get to know their lives, so you feel like you know them. So, whenever I see a reality star, I’m like, ‘Oh, my gosh!’ I get so freaked out over them, it’s funny.

On her decision to get into acting: [Being in the business] was never something that my parents forced me into. I was just found in a New Jersey mall and it just so happened that I started booking all of these commercials. My mom was like, ‘I don’t know, I guess this is meant to happen,’ but it’s always been left up to me whether or not I wanted to do it.

On her favorite body part: I think my legs are my favorite body part. My mom has really nice, long legs that are skinny. I’m short, though, like 5′3″, but I have such long legs that people think I’m taller.

(I thought she was at least 5′8″!!)

On what her backup career would be: When I was younger I used to pretend to write scripts. I was going to be a writer; if I had gone to college it would have been for writing, not for acting, just because I was doing acting classes anyway.

On the paps: At first I was so defensive toward them, and, like, Get out of my way, please don’t take pictures of me, because I just don’t like the idea of it. I want to be known for my work rather than when I’m going to Coffee Bean or shopping. However, I’ve learned to deal with it by releasing the stress at the gym and just smiling and giving them what they want, because when you do that, they treat you differently.
