I have been meaning to put together my list of favorite songs of 2008 but I have been so busy that it never got together. So here is DJ Earworm’s top 25 hits according to Billboard put into a video. You can watch all of the songs in less than five minutes.
It’s been just a year since we have known about Heath Ledger’s last movie, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, and now it has a release date. It’s set for September 24. It’s directed by Terry Gilliam and stars Johnny Depp, Heath Ledger, Colin Farrell, Jude Law and Christopher Plummer, the movie centers on a traveling theater company that gives its audience more than they were expecting.
I watched The Dark Knight finally a couple of weeks ago. It’s sad to think that such an amazing actor is gone. I miss Heath. I’m also glad that Johnny, Colin and Jude stepped in and helped Terry finish the movie because without them we wouldn’t be able to see the last piece of his work.
UPDATE: The US Release date still isn’t known. I will update when I find out when it is exactly.
Yes, Robert Pattinson could really complain about anything and I would think it was the coolest thing ever. Quite pathetic actually. But, at least I admit it! Now, Robert is saying that he is not looking forward to wearing the uncomfortable contact lenses in the sequel to the Twilight movie, New Moon.
“Wearing coloured contact lenses… It was like I constantly had sand in my eyes. I was wearing them for three months constantly and my eyes never ever accepted them! It took me 20 minutes per eye every single day and I ended up having to literally fold it into my eyeball.”
“It was frustrating as well because normally your eyes are saying something, but if you’ve got two orange blobs in your face it’s so annoying!
“The director (Catherine Hardwicke) would say, ‘Look at her (Kristen Stewart) like you love her,’ and I’d be like, ‘I’m trying!’ I’m going to have to do it again because we’re making the sequel next year.”
I know wearing contacts are a pain. I tried them for about a week and decided against it. Because feeling your eyes burning for most of the day is no fun! Robert if you need to practice with those contacts on…come over and practice with me. (Oh and @jenncastle won’t mind either… hee hee.)
Leighton Meester is the cover girl for the February 2009 issue of Teen Vogue. I like Leighton but I don’t like this cover. I think she is way prettier than this cover. Here are some highlights of the interview included:
On her parents’ highly publicized prison past: “I wouldn’t have volunteered that information, but I’ve never kept it a secret either. It’s just not my past; it’s not my story to tell.â€
On her childhood: “I wasn’t born in jail; I was born in a hospital. I lived with my mother for a few months in a halfway house, and then I went to stay with my grandmother for a few more before my mom got out. But I had a normal life.â€
On costar Ed Westwick: “He’s my favorite actor to work with. We have really good chemistry.â€
On her debut album she hopes to release this spring: “The music is very fun. It’s edgy, like electropop rather than bubblegum and you can dance to it.â€
