The Dark Knight won every category it was in last night at the People’s Choice Awards. I wonder if this is any indication on how well it’s going to do at the Golden Globes or the Oscars? I say Heath Ledger and Christian Bale should both win an Oscar…
“On behalf of all of the cast from the movie, thank you very much to the fans,” said Bale. “Here’s to Heath.”
I swear when I heard that I almost started bawling. But really I have been crying at almost anything these days. I think The Dark Knight is one of those movies people will never ever forget. (Miss you Heath.)
Ellen Degeneres won the award for Favorite Talk Show Host last night (Wednesday) at the People’s Choice Awards. I swear that all of the people I picked won (except for Supernatural!). And Ellen being Ellen had to make a funny acceptance speech…
“I wish I could share this with you,” DeGeneres told the audience while clutching her trophy on stage. “I could throw it on the ground and smash it into a million pieces, and give each one of you a little piece of it, but that’s violent, and that’s probably why you voted for me, because I’m not violent.”
Maybe we voted for you because we knew you would share? I want a piece of it…And Ellen also added to her speech…
“… and to my roommate, Portia [De Rossi], thank you very much, as well.”
That’s it remind them that you can’t be married anymore. That horrible government!
I really don’t care what anyone says but Jake Gyllenhaal is hot! And just think he buffed up this way for his movie, Prince of Persia. I wasn’t so sure how it would be with Jake in it but I honestly think he’ll pull it off. And if he keeps the long hair and buff body…I think it would get him a lot of other movie roles too.
I think that it would be one of my dreams to go to the Grammy’s and sing with one of the performers. The Grammy’s has always been probably the only awards show I actually watch. This year CBS is letting you have your Grammy Moment with Katy Perry. Just upload you singing on video to “I Kissed A Girl” and you are entered for a chance at $5000 and a trip to the Grammy’s to sing on stage with Katy. The clip above is a montag of the entries they have got so far. BUT, since the contest is only allowed to people in the US you can still go over to the website and laugh at the submissions. I know I got a kick out of it. There is even some famous people singing!
P.S. Let me know if you upload a video…I would love to see it!
For those who like to know if a DVD is worth purchasing, the Greek chapter one DVD is – if only because you must hear the commentaries. Specifically the commentary by Jack McDorman (Evan), Paul James (Calvin), Clark Duke (Dale), and Scott Michael Foster(Cappie).
What did I learn from listening to the commentary? I won’t tell you everything, but there are some nuggets I will share!
- James likes Never Been Kissed, and calls it, “an A class feature”. But I don’t think he’s joking – I think he really loves the movie! Man, who doesn’t?
- McDorman says we should lobby the show to make Omega Chi cooler. Perhaps we will!
- They ALL love Dale’s shirts and want to know where they can get them.
- They think that in a certain scene Spencer Grammar aka Casey looks like Reese Witherspoon. I agree.
- They are super informative, telling us jokingly how, “this is a set”! But they do tell us what they notice about scenes they weren’t in. One thing they said was that they loved in one scene how Dale looks down at his purity pledge ring and then rubs it after Casey leaves the room. I hadn’t noticed that before!
- James knows things. He knows about “Waiting for Godot“. When asked, he said, “I’m actually literate, that’s how it works.” You probably need to hear the context to get how funny that was to hear. Honestly, I couldn’t tell you which of these guys is the funniest because they all are.
- They call Duke “The Captain” and I have no clue why. But I like it.
- Speaking of Duke, when scenes with the girls come on he says, “Now, who are these girls? I’ve never seen them before!” :p
- The sarcastic and funny Foster tells McDorman, “Yea right Paul, I had creative control of my underwear.” I heard he actually did!
- Duke is confused about how season one works in two chapters and not season one and two. I’m glad to know I wasn’t the only one who wasn’t sure on how that was working at first.
- They are all fans of Kristen Bell, which makes them very smart! Duke said Bell is in his band, which is very cool. They mentioned Veronica Mars! YAY.
- They like the food on the set, especially the burritos and popcorn. They have a popcorn machine they eat from every day.
- They genuinely like each other, are friends, and like their show. Who could ask for anything more? Just more show! And more commentaries with them!
