Pete Wentz mustn’t have payed attention when he was grabbing his boots this morning. He must have thought he was grabbing army boots and grabbed his wife, Ashlee Simpson’s furry Uggs instead. This is not making my thought process any easier. Right now, it’s -27C at least with the windchill and I was standing out there earlier. I started thinking when my toes froze that it might actually be a good idea to invest in a pair of Uggs to keep my feet toasty warm. (But, wearing them with socks is a must!) So thanks Pete, if I go out and buy a pair I am sending YOU the bill!
I don’t usually watch American Idol, especially the American version, I hate that I can’t vote for the ones I like! Last night, the TV just happened to be on American Idol and I saw Adam Lambert singing Bohemian Rhapsody. I said to myself that if they let him go to Hollywood he would win it all. I know he is a bit theatrical but I’m sure that it will drop the more and more he gets coached along. (There are rumors that he is already in the top 50.) So here is my prediction that he is going to take it all.
See Adam performing Dust In The Wind after the jump…
I’ve heard so many mixed reactions about The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button and now that the Oscar nominations came out and the movie took away 13 noms I have to wonder. I heard someone on the radio say today that she thought it was a long movie and she kept falling asleep…even though she was on a date. And she even told her date to wake her up when Brad Pitt got hot. (She was never woken up!)
Funny or Die has the right idea by showing you that The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button is really like the movie Forrest Gump. See for yourself…it’s so alike it’s eerie. (I guess I’ve already see the movie because I’ve seen Forrest Gump a million times!)
The 15th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will be airing live on Sunday, January 25th at 8 p.m. on TNT and TBS. A highlight of the evening will be when James Earl Jones receives his SAG Life Achievement Award. I knew he should get one of those awards the first time I saw him in The Sandlot(from 1993, whoa)!
A year ago today, January 22nd, life changed. I know for many it did. Heath Ledger died in his apartment while he was sleeping. This year has been tough for many people trying to deal with his death. He really died way too soon. His daughter, Matilda, deserved a father.
I watched The Dark Knight finally last month. I couldn’t get over how amazing he was…well, I knew all along but he was beyond what I thought. I really hope he continues winning awards for his performance because he was ALL that.
I took his death hard. I’m not sure why…maybe because he was at the top of his game, and he was a dad. Being a parent makes me really think of a lot of things differently. I even did something for him that I will never forget. I was getting this sun tattooed on my wrist. The tattoo artist was talking to me about Heath and how he had done a tattoo for him too. So in memory of Heath he put dots around the sun. So everytime I look at my wrist I can remember Heath in my own way without anyone knowing.
R.I.P. Heath…you are missed just as much as the day you left.
