Renee Zellweger sure is pulling out the pink for February 2009 issue of Cosmopolitan. Renee has been out of the public eye for a while now. In the interview included she talks about marriage and being single. Here are some highlights:
On marriage: “I never say never about anything, because I look back on my own personal history and it shocks me. If I would ever have said, ‘Oh for sure this is going to be in my future,’ most of my experiences would not have been on my list. So I don’t even bother thinking about it, because I’ve learned that there’s no anticipating that stuff.â€
On being one of the single ladies: “The thing is, I’m away all the time (she has farmhouse on Long Island undergoing perpetual renovation and an apartment in New York). I suppose if I sat still long enough to get to know somebody beyond a dinner date, maybe. But I don’t feel like my life is empty or that I have to make something happen. I have projects to develop. I want to study American history and political science, live in an apartment in France, and fix my bad French. And is there really time for all of it? Last summer, when I said it wasn’t the right time for something I wanted to do, a friend asked, ‘How long are you going to live?’†Then she offers that gentle smirk of hers, “I’m not single, I’m busy. (laughs) That’s my line.â€
Why does everyone want to talk about marriage to these celebs. I have banned Valentine’s Day until further notice.

Kate Hudson is the cover girl for the February 2009 issue of UK Cosmopolitan. I love this picture of her on the cover…well what you can see of it. Why must they cover the cover with all that writing?
In the interview with the magazine she talks about being single, marriage, and dating. Here are the highlights:
On being single: I’d always been the kind of girl who really loves being in a relationship – I don’t think I’ve been properly single since I was 17 – so it’s always where I’ve felt at my best. But this time it’s different. I’m single and all of my friends are with someone, and that’s never happened before … It’s really nice to sit up at night and read a book, or knit – I love knitting! … I even love sitting there and sometimes being a bit bored, because it makes me appreciate the times when I do do things with my friends … I definitely want to incorporate this new ‘me’ into my next relationship, where you still do things by yourself.
On dating: Dating is a funny one. I’ve never sought love out. I’m a big believer that women should just live their lives and if it happens, it happens.
On getting married again: I don’t know. Who knows who I’ll end up with, and if marriage would even be important to them. I dreamt of the fairy-tale love story – but not so much of the wedding. I never pictured the type of dress I’d wear. For me, it was more about finding the man I was going to have children with. I didn’t think I’d be looking for more than one, though!
Kate has one thing right, usually someone comes along when you aren’t looking for it.

Jake Gyllenhaal has been hanging out at the courthouse lately…for Juror Duty. And everyday that goes by Jakey-poo gets more nervous that he is going to have to serve.
“He kept fidgeting and looking around the courtroom,” a source squawked , “You could tell he really wants to leave.”
Of course he’s fidgeting…he probably wonders if people recognize him, and then the prospect of being stuck being a juror. But the good news was that he didn’t get picked and was led off by a sheriff and court escorts.
“It seemed like he had more security today than yesterday,” said [the] source. “Definitely the star treatment.”
It seems that while he was waiting to get dismissed he snuck in some munchies and was reading a script. How sneaky is Jake….
I know I had to go for Jury Duty too a couple of years ago. It was not fun! I got to get of jury duty because of important medical tests I had for the week of the case. But as a writer it would be a dream come true if I had been picked.

I may have not recognized this picture as being Jesse Metcalf but it’s nice to know that he is just reaching out to the paps and helping…by asking them if they want a smoke. You can tell alot about a guy that shares his smokes. First of all, that scent of his cigarette smoke and that leather jacket is more than enough to make me swoon. Don’t ask me why but it has since I was 19. I literally get weak in the knees.

Not only was Vicky Cristina Barcelona a hot movie it also won Best Picture – Comedy at the 2009 Golden Globe Awards! It stars Javier Bardem, Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz. I finally got a chance to watch it last night. I’m not sure how this is a comedy though..but I guess with all the wine and the sarcastic narration I missed it. I found it more of a drama.
Vicky Cristina Barcelona is a story of two American women on a carefree Spanish holiday meet a charming local painter and become enamored by him, only to have his intensely passionate ex-wife reenter his life and stir up trouble.
I found it was a passionate movie. With all the love in the air and the sexiness of Javier I was just hoping everyone would be able to get him in the end. One thing is for certain I am totally obsessed with Scarlett’s hair! I need it!
There are no extra’s with this movie which is a downside. I would have loved to see the bloopers that Scarlett and Javier had between each other. But in any case it was released to DVD on January 27 and is 93 minutes long.
