The Hills Is Coming Back…Better Than Ever

Posted by taylor blue on February 23, 2009 | No Comments

I admit it…I have been watching every minute of The City. There is something that bugs me about that Olivia girl though, she just seems like she’s just too way good for all of this. And now in the Spring The Hills will be back for their Season 4 bonus episodes.

And I also found some great spoilers about the new episodes so if you don’t want to know, don’t look. SPOILERS AHEAD.

Stephanie will step in as Lauren’s new Whitney at People’s Revolution. Yes, Spencer’s sister has gotten a job at Kelly Cutrone’s People’s Revolution. It makes sense. Who else is there to make the “Oh!” face for all of Lauren’s drama during the day.

Lo will be a working girl, too. She’ll get a job working for Davis Factor (grandson of Max Factor) at cosmetics powerhouse Smashbox Studios. All of that time on the sidelines is finally paying off for Lo!

Bromance, rekindled! Let’s let out that sigh of relief all together. Brody and Spencer are back together.

Lauren and Lo’s $11,000-a-month Hollywood Hills home is available for lease, so expect yet another moving day episode. But don’t fret: The best friends forever are still roommates, says MTV.

And as for Speidi … We know there’s a brunette bartender now in the picture. Will we see an actual wedding? Followed by a messy divorce? We can only hope.

I can’t get over how expensive it is to live in the Hollywood Hills, two months rent there could get me a downpayment on a house! But it looks like these extra episodes are going to rock. I may end up crying when Lauren and Heidi cry again!

Heath Ledger Wins The Best Supporting Actor Oscar

Heath Ledger Rewind

While I was watching the Oscars last night I was dreading hearing the winner for the Best Supporting Actor. I knew in my heart that it would be Heath Ledger, but I didn’t want to not see him able to accept the award. Heath did win the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his amazing portrayal of The Joker in The Dark Knight. I loved his performance and I think he deserves every ounce of it.

Heath’s family accepted the Oscar for him saying:

His mother Sally Bell said: “Heath was such a compassionate and generous soul who added so much excitement and inspiration to our lives.

“We have been truly overwhelmed by the honour and respect being bestowed upon him with this award. Tonight, we are choosing to celebrate and be happy for what he has achieved.”

His sister Kate said: “Heath, we both knew what you had created in the Joker was extraordinarily special and had even talked about being here on this very day. We really wish you were, but we proudly accept this award on behalf of your beautiful Matilda. Thank you.”

These pictures of Heath were uncovered and were back in 1999 just before his movie, 1o Things I Hate About You, came out. He had just turned 20 and he had the world in front of him. Little did he know back then how amazing his life would be and how it would turn out.

Green River Ordinance’s New CD ‘Out Of My Hands’ & Interview

Green River Ordinance

Green River Ordinance is releasing their new CD, Out Of My Hands, on February 24. They have opened for such bands as Bon Jovi, Collective Soul, and Simple Plan, and are planning to hit the road again in support of their new record.

The band is composed of singer/guitarist Josh Jenkins, brothers Jamey (guitar) and Geoff Ice (bass), Denton Hunker (drums) and Joshua Wilkerson (guitar). For Out Of My Hands, the band teamed up with producers Mark Endert (Natasha Bedingfield, Maroon 5, Gavin DeGraw), Jordan Critz and Paul Ebersold (Sister Hazel, 3 Doors Down, Third Day) while still keeping the songwriting in-house. I love GRO’s sound…they remind me of my favorite bands and I have been listening to the CD non-stop.

I had a chance to ask the guys a couple of questions since I was excited to share them with all my readers, all the questions were answered by Geoff.

On how they came up with their name, Green River Ordinance: We came up with the name Green River Ordinance when my brother Jamey and I started the band 9 years ago. I was only 13 at the time and Jamey was 15. This was before Josh Jenkins (our singer) joined the band, and we were mostly a classic southern rock blues band. The garage we practiced in at the time was filled with old road signs and the coolest one just said “Green River Ordinance Enforced” in big black letters. We thought that it had a nice ring too it, and the name has stuck all these years since.

On how they all got together: Jamey and I started the band back when I was in middle school and he was a freshman in high school after we played sweet home Alabama for a talent show. We met Josh Jenkins through a friend of our old drummer who gave us a tape of Josh singing some songs he written. We loved the songs and his voice. A few weeks later Josh was in our garage, and the band took on a whole new direction. Joshua Wilkerson was good friends with Josh Jenkins through high school, and we decided to bring in another guitar player he was our first choice. Through out high school we all became very close friends, and when we started college we met our drummer Denton Hunker and the band became complete.

On their most memorable show: Hands down the best live show we have ever done, was when we opened up for Bon Jovi at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. We were chosen by a local radio station and won their contest. We played on a giant stage in front of twenty thousand people. I have never felt a greater adrenaline rush or heard louder applause. The guys in Bon Jovi where incredibly friendly. It was a legendary night for us.

On their biggest influences: We all come from different musical back grounds, Jamey and I grew up playing blues, Josh Jenkins’ family has country music roots. Joshua Wilkerson grew up listing to everything from the Beatles to Seal, and Denton has a background in jazz. Some of our favorite bands that influence us are Pete Yorn, Third Eye Blind, U2, and Tom Petty.

On Geoff’s favorite single on the new CD: My personal favorite song is getting older. The harmonies on it were very fun to record and I love the way they sound live. It was also a song that we spent a ton of time try working on but never really came together until we got in the studio. It was challenge that took a lot of work to finish, and I am very happy with how it turned out.

On what they are wanting to achieve with their music: Find a cure for cancer and AIDS and free the world of mosquitoes……….. We want to bring fun happy music that makes people move and look at the world differently.

Visit their website here, and be sure to check out their MySpace…a lot of their music is on there. It was the way I found I was hooked!
