Lauren Conrad Writes A Book

I seriously can’t believe that Lauren Conrad has a book out…and it’s Fiction too. I have tried more than once to write a book and it’s hard work! And besides blogging gives you that instant satisfaction in writing…
The book is about a fictional 19-year-old Jane Roberts that has a life similar to Lauren. The synopsis of the book goes something like this… “Roberts can’t wait to start living it up. She may be in L.A. for an internship, but Jane plans to play as hard as she works and has enlisted her BFF Scarlett to join in the fun.”
And the fun doesn’t stop there, the two main characters are approached by a producer who wants them to be in a reality show called Sexy and the City. What do you think? Will it be a hit or a miss?

so here is the thing.
I was livid when I found out about this because I know how hard it is to get an agent, and get your book published.
Author Meg Cabot posted on her blog awhile back- that hte good thing about “celebrity” books is that the rake in the $$$$. Which in turn, helps lowly newbies.
Plus- chances are…LC didn’t even write the book, but they are simply using her “celebrity” name to sell the novels. I think she got a 5 book deal with a hefty advance….
