Adam Lambert “Born To Be Wild”? He Was CREATED for it!

Adam Lambert sang, and danced his way through another week on American Idol, as if there was any concern that he wouldn’t! He is a born performer, no doubt about that. I mean seriously, where is the competition? Every time they go through the theatrics of telling him whether or not he’s safe, I laugh. If there is one thing that I am always sure of, it’s that he’s not going home any time soon based on his talent!
For me,this season should have become Adam Lambert Idol the second he walked in and opened his mouth. This show, in my opinion, could be all Adam all the time!
If you missed it Tuesday night, or if you’re like me and never grow tired of watching him, look at this: Perfection in motion:
And because I have seen the issue of his sexuality addressed so many times on other sites, I have to express my opinion here. Come on, you knew it was bound to happen.
If I had a dollar for every time I had to listen to,or read about a narrow minded person saying “Adam is gay” I’d be the richest woman in America. So, let me respond by saying this:
IT DOESN’T MATTER,and more IMPORTANTLY people, it’s HIS personal business. Yes, pictures are floating around, as they always seem to do when you’re in the public eye, but as for my thoughts on the matter?
Adam didn’t audition for a “Let the world judge you based on your sexuality competition” he auditioned for a SINGING competition,he is an amazing singer, and he’s absolutely beautiful to look at. It’s really sad to know that in the year 2009, we are still as backwards and narrow in our thinking as we were 50 years ago.
I’ll end by saying this, which is something I have always said about Idol when I am forced to listen to the sob stories of the contestants:
I don’t care if you were rich and now you’re poor.
I don’t care if you have had a revelation and have been saved.
I don’t care if you have overcome.
I don’t care if you were lost and now you’re found.
It’s a singing competition, so all I care about is CAN YOU SING? And let’s face it, Adam Lambert CAN sing. He has our vote here at Ten Gossip.

Bravo for a great post! Adam Lambert is amazing. He doesn’t come with pre-packaged sob story baggage, just in your face, flat out brilliant talent!
Go Adam!
Thanks so much Freidag!
Those are a few of the 1,254,456 reasons that Adam is such a wonderful addition to the show!
Everyone knows I’m Team Pattinson already.. and if there was any doubt, I’m also
Team Adam!
Adam Lambert for the next American Idol, no question about it!
You know, I’m a big Adam fan and when my family says: “he’s gay” I get a little defensive. But let’s face it…. I believe part of the reason that he is so down-to-earth, humble, and “ego free” is because he is gay. I think that he lacks the ego that a straight man would have, and therefore, his performances are a lot more genuine and sincere.
Ooh Star, I don’t know sweetie, I know a lot of gay men that are ego maniacal. lol I think it’s a man thing. But Adam is just sheer perfection. And *High five* on behalf of standing up for Adam!
Adam is flat out brilliant!!!!! Adam, I again am going to tell you that you do NOT need to wear so much foundation and eyeliner, as you are very naturally gorgeous!!!! You are a STAR for sure!!!! I hope that you will have a chance to sing some Freddie Mercury or Steve Perry, as you will ROCK!!! Try the swept back hair style again, as it shows off the wonderful structure of your handsome face!!! Take care, and I look forward to your every performance!!!
Carlotta! I love the way you think, but I have to say that I ADORE me some Adam in eyeliner. Though I do adore men in eyeliner in general, Adam just makes it look even better!
Willow, you nailed it. Adam Lambert is in living color and everyone else is in varying states of beige. I couldn’t tell you who sang what 30 minutes after the show if my life depended on it…but ask me what Adam sang and what week it was and I get 100% on that quiz, for sure.
Jo.. thank you so much. I absolutely love your wording! Adam is definitely adding color to what would normally be a drab competition, and I adore him for it!
