The amazing, giving heart that I am bringing from the dark, into the light today belongs to none other than
James Holzier. I’m sure you’ve read the interview, here on
Ten Gossip, between
James and our own
Taylor Blue. If that didn’t cause you to become smitten with him, then this surely will. There are several charities that hold special places in my heart, no longer than I have been doing these posts, I’m sure you’ve come to realize that. However, any time anyone opens up their hearts to give, it makes ME swell with pride and contentment.
James Holzier makes me smile from ear to ear,and sigh in awe. He supports the
Make A Wish Foundation which grants wishes to children with life threatening medical conditions, and their families. Wishes that they would not have had the ability to afford and/ or make come true without the help of this charity. Though it can’t cure them, it has brought smiles to many sick faces, and created beautiful memories that will last for eternity. There have currently been 178,638 wishes granted, one approximately every 40 minutes, if that isn’t incredible, I don’t know what is.
James also lends his support to
ONE a grassroots campaign and advocacy organization. At this moment they have the support of over 2 million people, standing strong in the fight against extreme poverty and preventable disease, especially in Africa. This cause was Co-founded by
Bono and several others,
ONE is nonpartisan and works closely with African policy makers and activists. Are you sitting there, mouth agape? Well, don’t close your mouth JUST yet, he also extends his support to
Project Home – H.O.M.E standing for (Housing, Opportunities for Employment, Medical Care, Education). This cause is absolutely astounding. Their motto? “None of us are home, until all of us are home” Still unsure what they do, and haven’t clicked the link yet? *Smile* It’s okay, this is what it said on their site, as part of their mission statement:
“The mission of the Project H.O.M.E. community is to empower adults, children, and families to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty, to alleviate the underlying causes of poverty, and to enable all of us to attain our fullest potential as individuals and as members of the broader society. We strive to create a safe and respectful environment where we support each other in our struggles for self-esteem, recovery, and the confidence to move toward self-actualization.”
James like so many other celebrities, isn’t merely aesthetically pleasing, but he is also moral, ethical, and I would love and be proud to extend my hand to him, for being such an astonishing humanitarian, and wonderful human being.

Alex Meraz is one of the hot new werewolf’s on the block for New Moon, and I can’t get enough of these fan made posters!
It’s crazy that already Alex is being called a sex symbol when no one has even seen him in the role.
“Someone started yelling at me because they didn’t like my character. I play a bad boy, so she got mad at me. She said, ‘I hate you, Paul!’ That was the craziest thing for me – being confused for a character.” He added, “I yelled back at her, ‘I love you, too!’”
I bet Alex is excited for all the attention he’ll brew up after the movie is out. November seems so far away!

I spend so much time writing about celebrities, the impact that they make on the world, movies, music, and just entertainment news in general. I thought that today, I would dedicate this post FIRSTLY to
Taylor Blue(an amazing mom, and awesome person in general, who took a chance on an amateur like me) and all of the other, real, behind (and sometimes in front of) the scenes celebrities, the ones that should be celebrated and shown appreciation to daily. Because without them, none of us would exist, and we’d have no celebrities to write about.
MOTHERS.Maybe some of you have had an amazing day, being shown and told how much you’re loved, admired, appreciated. Maybe your kids brought you something homemade from school, called you from college, took you to dinner to save you from cooking, or lavished you with gifts. Or maybe you feel forgotten, and a bit sad because you’re a mom whose kids weren’t able to show their appreciation for you, due to their young age, or extenuating circumstances. Though, maybe your Mother’s Day was bittersweet because your mom is no longer with you. Either way, this post is for all of you. I have found a few poems I would love to share with you.
M – O – T – H – E – R
“M” is for the million things she gave me,
“O” means only that she’s growing old,
“T” is for the tears she shed to save me,
“H” is for her heart of purest gold;
“E” is for her eyes, with love-light shining,
“R” means right, and right she’ll always be,
Put them all together, they spell
“MOTHER,”
A word that means the world to me.
Howard Johnson (c. 1915)
A Mother’s Love
There are times when only a Mother’s love
Can understand our tears,
Can soothe our disappoints
And calm all of our fears.
There are times when only a Mother’s love
Can share the joy we feel
When something we’ve dreamed about
Quite suddenly is real.
There are times when only a Mother’s faith
Can help us on life’s way
And inspire in us the confidence
We need from day to day.
For a Mother’s heart and a Mother’s faith
And a Mother’s steadfast love
Were fashioned by the Angels
And sent from God above…

Untitled/About Those Not With Us
In tears we saw you sinking,
And watched you pass away.
Our hearts were almost broken,
We wanted you to stay.
But when we saw you sleeping,
So peaceful, free from pain,
How could we wish you back with us,
To suffer that again.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you,
The day God took you home.
If Roses grow in Heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in my Mother’s arms
and tell her they’re from me.
Tell her I love her and miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for awhile.
Because remembering her is easy,
I do it every day,
but there’s an ache within my heart
that will never go away.
Don’t think of her as gone away
Her journey’s just begun
Life holds so many facets
This earth is only one
Just think of her as resting
From the sorrows and the tears
In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days and years
Think how she must be wishing
That we could know, today
Now nothing but our sadness
Can really pass away
And think of her as living
In the hearts of those she touched
For nothing loved is ever lost
And she is loved so very much.

I appreciate each and every one of you, and because I think we should end this on a light note, here is proof, that even though we KNOW everything *wink wink* sometimes we have a hard time putting it into words. I say it’s from being tired, or multi-tasking. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it! *Laugh*

This will be my last Gossip Girl episode spoiler for this season. It kind of makes me want to cry since I’ve done every episode this season. This will be the last time the cast is in highschool too. I’m still interested to see how it will all play out next year when they are all in college.
The last episode of Season 2 is called The Goodbye Gossip Girl and goes something like this: Gossip Girl decides to liven things up at the Constance Billard and St. Jude’s graduation by sending out a shocking and damaging email blast in the midst of the commencement ceremony, stirring Serena (Blake Lively) to come up with a plan of attack. The Mean Girls (guest stars Yin Chang, Nicole Fiscella, Amanda Setton and Dreama Walker) challenge Jenny (Taylor Momsen) to throw her hat in the ring to succeed Blair (Leighton Meester) as Queen Bee next year. Lily (Kelly Rutherford) and Rufus (Matthew Settle) struggle to repair their relationship after Lily’s betrayal. As for the cliffhangers, Blair and Chuck (Ed Westwick) finally…and Serena is shocked by…and Georgina (guest star Michelle Trachtenberg) decides to…and Dan (Penn Badgley), Nate (Chace Crawford) and Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) unknowingly….and it all happens in the series’ climactic season finale.
Until I start the posts for Season 3 Gossip Girls xoxo
