Eddie Izzard does! In at LEAST four different charities. If you have no idea who Eddie Izzard is, well first, SHAME ON YOU, and secondly check him out (It has mature language,viewer discretion advised) HERE and HERE.
He also starred in “Monty Python” episodes, the movie “Across The Universe”,”Rags To Riches” and so much more. Amazing actor, terrific comedian, and as I have recently found out, an incredibly charitable man. He is a strong supporter of AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL, an organization that has 2.2 million members and subscribers (and growing) in more than 150 countries and regions, who are absolutely outraged by human rights abuse internationally and in all areas. That outrage fuels the hope that inspires them, causing them to take action, to help acquire justice, to make this world a better place. The second charity that he is a part of is BREAST CANCER CAMPAIGN, which supports research for improving diagnosis,and treatment of breast cancer. Helping to understand how it develops,which will hopefully, in the near future, lead to a cure. Eddie also lends his giving heart to MAKE POVERTY HISTORY the biggest ever anti-poverty movement thus far. Lastly, but certainly not least U.S. CAMPAIGN FOR BURMA As stated on their site -
“A U.S.based membership organization dedicated to empowering grassroots activists around the world to bring about an end to the military dictatorship in Burma.”
For years, Eddie Izzard has brought me countless laughs, and as a matter of fact, I could speak for the rest of my life in his quotes. Since I have been introduced to his comedy, I can think of very few conversations “Of Which There Are FIVE!” that don’t have at LEAST one Eddie Izzard quote in them. Now, he has made me smile, made me happy, and has given me hope by proving that he is an extremely amusing comedian, but an equally incredibly giving human being.

there’s nothing more sexier than a man that has charity in his heart and is a comedian at the same time. He is a funny man and has given a lot of himself. You can’t beat that. Thanks for the extra info. on Eddie Izzard. JJ
