Jay and Silent Bob Give Back!

Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes two of the hottest, baddest guys (weak, I know, but I have to watch my mouth on here ya’ll) to rock this planet. They Own. You have GOT to know who they are, but if you have been living on Mars and doing unspeakable things to Martians (in this event I am sure that Jay would understand and forgive you) and haven’t a clue. Then let me fill you in. Clerks, Clerks 2, Mallrats ring any bells? Kevin wrote and starred in them as* Silent Bob*,and Jay was of course, Bob’s right hand man. Not to mention the idea man for all of their plans which always went HORRIBLY wrong, and admittedly much to my amusement.
So,for me, I always considered them giving. They provided laughter, sarcasm, and idiocy to all the world.
However, as I was searching through countless celebrities on which to do my charity post, I found out that they don’t just give back through their superpowers :Kevin’s Unparalleled awesomeness, and Jason’s Irresistible Sex Appeal…no they donate to causes too. I know, once I shook my head and could wrap my mind around it, I have decided that no, the world will NOT implode from too much incredibility. Instead,it will make us all into comic book characters, I volunteer to be a big chested mermaid. Just sayin’.
But I digress.. Jason supports the most amazing charity, possibly ever. LILI CLAIRE FOUNDATION it enhances the lives of children living with Williams Syndrome, Down Syndrome, Autism and other neurogenetic disorders, while providing hope and resources for the families who love them. See, how wonderful is that?
Kevin supports several excellent charities/causes that I have discussed before in some of my previous posts, but each and every one of them are VERY important and bear repeating. If I wasn’t impressed with Kevin’s genius before, well I’m impressed with him now.
His support is extended to DECLARE YOURSELF,FOOD BANK FOR NYC,THE LUNCHBOX FUND, and one that I haven’t spoken about before, RAPE ABUSE & INCEST NATIONAL NETWORK This is one of “Americas 100 Best Charities”- Worth Magazine. My description of this charity could never do it justice, so I’ll simply quote from their site.

“The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network is the nation’s largest anti-sexual assault organization. RAINN operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1.800.656.HOPE and the National Sexual Assault Online Hotline at rainn.org, and publicizes the hotline’s free, confidential services; educates the public about sexual assault; and leads national efforts to prevent sexual assault, improve services to victims and ensure that rapists are brought to justice.”

I’d like to personally extend a thank you to both Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes for giving of themselves to causes that touch my heart in a very personal way.
I know you two are probably almost all given out, I mean, look at all you do. But I do have a few suggestions at how you could give back just a little more…and it won’t take much of your time.
Kevin- You really need to teach a Jedi mind trick class, really, that crap isn’t as easy as you make it look,and in closing you could teach how to alway say the most brilliant, profound thing at just the right moment..because sincerely, I usually end up saying the most moronic things when my moment comes. “I like grapes” is normally the kind of thing I come out with and well that’s just intelligent, isn’t it?

Jason – As for you, I’m waiting on you to help me perfect my chapstick applying method, I have yet to do so in such a sexy manner that I’d want to “ahem” myself.,  So, see, you really need to take time out of your busy schedule and help a girl out. Even if it means hands on teaching experience. I’m a good student. *laugh*
