Move Over Twilight! ANOTHER Vampire-Centric Cult Series is Coming

Who knew there were so many cult book series about vampires? Apparently NOW is the time when they’re all coming out of the woodwork (see: Twilight, True Blood etc). Make way for yet another vampire-centric movie, this one with actual emphasis on VAMPIRES and not teenage angst.

Blood: The Last Vampire will quite possibly be a major summer blockbuster. It’s from a producer of Hero and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Blood: The Last Vampire is based on a popular Japanese anime feature film. It centers on Saya, who happens to look good for her age as a 400-year-old demon hunter/vampire slayer who works for a secret organization in Japan. So it’s kind of like Buffy meets Alias. Which, I could very possibly dig.

Action movie junkies will be deliciously satisfied with the special effects.
