There is nothing like this horror movie that’s for sure. Homecoming starring Mischa Barton, Jessica Stroup and Matt Long is hitting theaters on July 17th.
They synopsis is the following: Mike (Matt Long) is a small-town star athlete who is the first in his family to attend college, receiving a football scholarship to prestigious Northwestern University. When he returns home over Christmas break to the people he left behind – his family and friends – they are all surprised to see him with a new girlfriend, Elizabeth (Jessica Stroup), a pretty rich girl from Chicago. No one is more shocked than Mike’s homecoming queen ex-girlfriend, Shelby (Mischa Barton), who immediately wants to be rid of Elizabeth and plots to take care of the problem. Our story takes many twists and turns as Shelby does everything it takes to get Mike back.
I love movies where the girlfriends go nuts on each other. See the trailer and stills after the jump…

Wait a second, this movie is directed by Morgan Freeman? Seriously, Morgan Fracking Freeman?
I thought the same thing, but no. I looked up Morgan J Freeman and it’s not the same person.
I assumed as much but blindlessly wanted to believe it was the same Morgan Freeman much like I blindlessly assume that this is a sequal to Stroup’s Prom Night and will fully expect the trilogy will be complete when she stars in Winter Formal next year.
I really wanted to believe it too. LOL And I can’t wait to see the third installment that you named.
Can’t wait to see this movie. Jess Stroup is awesome. Looks like a quality slasher flick
This movie looks pretty good. My bestfriend and I cant wait to see it. Mischa Barton is awesome.
morgan j freeman (also sad its not the other freeman) is a great director, how else could he have made dawson’s creek last so long, haha
This is going to be a great movie, as far as i know it isn’t intended on being a sequel to the prom night movie.
the movie was filmed (in part) at the bowling alley my family owns and i’m really looking forward to see how those scenes i watched being filmed turn out when put together into the movie.
Just read an early review of “Homecoming” on Movieweb, and the writer loved it. Sounds like it’s a lot of fun
