I don’t know about you but I don’t like Chace Crawford’s hair. I don’t like his Nate hair at all. I don’t know why they have to make the guys so presentable like that. Maybe this year Nate can let his ‘hair down’? A girl can hope can’t she?

Blake Lively & Penn Badgley Spotted On The Gossip Girl Set

Blake Lively and Penn Badgley were spotted on the Gossip Girl set today in New York. I’m happy to see that the two of them are still going strong. I like them together. The season premiere isn’t so far away now. I just hope my cable is back on by then.

“Party In The USA”

For someone who never (make that almost never, now) watches the Teen Choice Awards I have surely discussed them a lot lately. I have to say, it wasn’t THAT bad, I mean, if given the choice between Walking the plank or watching the awards show, I’d probably pick the latter, no, no I definitely would.
There are whales in the ocean, and they could eat me. So, yes, I’d watch the awards, but I digress.
I have heard a ton of mixed reviews about the performance by Miss Miley Cyrus, and I, myself actually have a rather mixed opinion.
Now, I like the song, it’s catchy, and upbeat. It was obviously made for her voice, and it just works. The problem with most everyone about the performance, was a combination of her clothing, and her dancing.
Okay, please bear with me for a moment and allow me to address her clothing issue: She had on short shorts, and yes they were barely there.. however, is that such a travesty, considering millions of ADULT (most of them WAY over 18,or 21 even) Twilight fans the world over, drool over 17 year old Taylor Lautner and want him naked constantly? The difference? The lovely double standard.. what is right for a man, isn’t right for a woman.
Does that mean I want Miley objectified? NO, far from.
But two things to consider, first, and hopefully foremost, she is coming into herself, becoming her own person,maybe that has bearing on her new clothes (or maybe she wore those clothes to signify what she’d wear during the summer?! *gasp*), and then there always remains the fact, that sex sells.
It’s sad. It’s horrible. It’s true.
Maybe she is but a product of her environment? Some of the words to her song..

Maybe she’s trying to fit in. Either way, the girl is ridiculously talented, and amazingly beautiful. If she keeps her head about her, and grows with her music, she has no worries.
Her daddy is from Kentucky, I dare say he won’t let her get too far out there, believe me, he’ll straighten her out if he needs to.
So, let her cut loose, and have some fun.
Dressing cute, and sexy (even if it is a bit too early) doesn’t make her a whore, a slut, or a stripper, so let’s stop bashing her shall we?

The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus Trailer Stills

Last week I debuted the Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus trailer from the UK.  I was intrigued by the new shots of Heath Ledger and Johnny Depp so I thought I would screen cap some of them. (And I love screen caps, believe me, I annoy probaby everyone I know by sending them screen caps of things. In this case, the end justifies the means.) So here they are. Heath and Johnny.

P.S. I want to see this movie so bad! I can’t wait to find out an US release date!

My Favorite Part Of The Fast & Furious

So at home here we are going on our third day without cable. I swear everyone is ready to kill each other. And never mind my shows I’m missing like Big Brother, The Cleaner, Mindfreak, Hell’s Kitchen and Nurse Jackie. So to keep our minds off the insanity we have been renting and buying movies. Yesterday it was the new Fast & Furious (but I really wanted 17 Again!) The action was crazy at the beginning and it was very nice to see Vin Diesel and Paul Walker back. (I don’t know maybe I should have stuck with microwaving carrots?)

But my favorite part? Was the gag reel. Paul Walker was swearing up a storm, and he looked good doing it too. I have watched this gag reel more than once for it’s adorable factor. See the gag reel after the jump>>>

Taylor Swift Covers Bliss Magazine

Taylor Swift is the September 2009 cover girl for Bliss magazine. I gather from the headlines on the page it’s a teen magazine. I wonder where ones like this were when I was a teen. I subscribed to YM and Seventeen, now a days they are so different than they were then. (I just googled it, it’s a magazine from the UK, it’s a teen magazine and often comes with free makeup. That sounds like a deal to me!)

In this issue Taylor talks about love, being fearless and being single. Here are the highlights:

Taylor on love: “Love is something that happens to really lucky people, but sometimes it’s not an exact fit. A lot of times you end up with people who maybe look the way you want them to, but don’t act the right way.”

Taylor on being single: “Right now, I’m genuinely happy being single. I feel that, when I meet the person who’s worth calling every night I’ll be happy to do it. But at the moment I don’t want to be out there looking for a boyfriend.”

Taylor on being fearless: “..being fearless is allowing yourself to get hurt. Putting personal details into my songs is a fearless move because there is a lot to lose. Some people might be freaked out and not talk to me in case they might end up in a song. But if one person is able to relate to it, then it’s worth it.”
