A sexy Zachary Quinto was spotted walking and looking cool amid the triple digit heat wave in Silverlake, California on Monday. It is really hot where I live and I was complaining because it was 82F again today. I could barely even stay cool in shorts and a tank top, it’s beyond me how Zachary could stay cool in a black hat, jeans and heavy running shoes. I am sweating up a storm looking at him. Or it could be that he’s hot and it’s not the weather.
I think two of my favorite actors have to be Jake Gyllenhaal and Natalie Portman. In the September 2009 issue of Interview magazine Jake gets a chance to interview Natalie. I read the interview and it was so adorable and of course I had to share.
GYLLENHAAL: So let’s begin. Mount Rushmore honors four U.S. presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt. If you could add any person to Mount Rushmore, who would it be and why? PORTMAN: This is an amazing question. Gosh . . . I have to think about that one. [laughs] Let me stew on it for a little while . . . I’m trying to think of someone who has amazing enough features, but it also needs to be the face of a person who is a meaningful human being. Obviously, when you think of Mount Rushmore, you think of Lincoln. GYLLENHAAL: That’s hard. I don’t know why I started off with that question. PORTMAN: Do you have an answer to that one? GYLLENHAAL: No, I don’t. I was just thinking that because you do so much wonderful work in the world, you must have met so many amazing people.
PORTMAN: [laughs] I remember as a kid being really scared of the Smurfs. GYLLENHAAL: The Smurfs? PORTMAN: Because that bad guy, Gargamel, was so terrifying. I was scared of a lot of cartoons. I’m kind of wussy like that. GYLLENHAAL: That’s interesting because you seem so fearless. PORTMAN: Really? GYLLENHAAL: Yeah. Looking at all these things that you’ve done and contributed to the world so far, I would have thought that the evil wizard Gargamel would’ve been something you could have very easily stepped over. PORTMAN: Thank you for saying that, but I’m far from fearless. I’m afraid of everything. But maybe when you’re afraid of everything, it sort of seems like you’re scared of nothing.
GYLLENHAAL: What song best describes your current state? PORTMAN: My current state . . . I’m trying to think of a song that feels like sleepwalking. [laughs] I don’t know. I’ve mostly been listening to dirty rap lately. That’s sort of my scene. GYLLENHAAL: Your affection for dirty rap is something that people really don’t know about you, which I think is fascinating. You do incredible things for the world, and then you listen to just completely obscene hip-hop music.
(the rest is too graphic to put on this site but man, I was laughing so hard I was crying!)
I have a couple things to note about this interview: Jake is really awesome and I need him to help me with my next interview, he used to have Garbage Pail Kids cards (I had those too!), he said bada** in the interview, and even though this interview was long it was actually the first one I read all the way through!
The Heroes Season 3 DVD/Blu-Ray is coming out today and one of the features included on the set is a behind the scenes tour of the Prop Box. I can’t believe the secrets he reveals in this video. I have to admit that I know who it is the video, and it’s because of Twitter. (It’s @jamesprops you can follow him on Twitter and see his Heroes tweets too.)
Friday is coming soon! And finally we will be able to see the movie Gamer starring Gerard Butler, Michael C Hall and Milo Ventimiglia. It should be interesting to see how the whole super virtual reality concept plays out in theaters. Don’t forget to check out the website, I was there the other day and I played around for a while there.
Check out the new TV Spot below, it shows in a fast forward view of how the story goes down. Make sure you see it in theaters on September 4th.
I live in Canada and really no where the Los Angeles fires but in my day to day life around the internet I hear about it. I know many people that have been effected by it. So being the avid photographer I am, I was moved by this picture that one of my favorite photographers, Tyler Shields, posted on his site. I was speechless to see it. Moved by how beautiful and sad it was all at the same time.
I hope everyone can stay safe and the fire gets under control soon. TEN Gossip is thinking of you all.
Taylor Lautner is the cover boy for the October 2009 issue of Teen Vogue. (Where has this year went?) I think this is my favorite issue of the magazine yet! Inside the issue Taylor talks about Selena Gomez, fans and the future of his career. Here are the highlights…
On his alleged summer fling Selena Gomez: “She’s a great girl.â€
On Team Jacob fans: “I think fans would love anybody who played Jacob. I’m just lucky to be the one who got the chance.â€
On the paparazzi: “You can’t ever really get used to it, because it’s not normal to have people snapping pictures of everything you do. You just have to try not to let it affect you.â€
On career aspirations: “I really look up to Denzel Washington as an actor. I’d love to do a film with him one day in the future. That would be my dream come true. And I love the action-drama films like Matt Damon and Brad Pitt do.â€
