Ed Westwick was on Jimmy Fallon’s show on Wednesday night. I think I am going to hit every interview that Ed does because it sounds so weird hearing his English accent. Jimmy decided he would play a fun game of ‘Bass Masters’ where they had to spin the wheel and then do a Chuck Bass impression. I almost think Jimmy has the impression down better than Ed. What do you think?
I have to admit, I was skeptical when I heard about this television series.
My original thought? Knock off of Twilight. Especially after I saw the first ten minutes of it tonight. I had no clue that this was even a book series, go ahead, roll your eyes at me. I rarely read fiction, unless it’s classic literature, so cut me some slack.
So, then I hear that Vampire Diaries was actually published first, and because I am me, I start digging to make sure. Hey no offense, but I prefer to read it for myself, you know?
So, to quote Wikipedia:
“The Vampire Diaries is a YA horror series of novels written by the NYT Bestselling author of the Night World series, L. J. Smith. The story centers around Elena Gilbert, a high school girl torn between two vampire brothers. The series was originally a trilogy published in 1991. However, pressure from readers led the author to write a fourth volume, Dark Reunion, released in 1992.[1]
After taking a hiatus from writing for several years, L. J. Smith announced in 2008 a new spin-off trilogy entitled The Vampire Diaries: The Return, continuing the series, with Damon being the main protagonist. The first installment, The Return: Nightfall, was released on February 10, 2009. The Return: Shadow Souls and The Return: Midnight are tentatively slated for release in April, 2010 and 2011 respectively.”

Okay, all of that out of the way, the show was spectacular. Paul Wesley brought intensity, brooding, sexiness to the screen, to this role, that was beyond belief. My heart pitter pattered, and then ached because I couldn’t help but think “He would have made a wonderful Edward Cullen” (Sorry Rob, you know I love you!)
So, all of you Twi hards, fellow Twilight fans, and anyone in between, please stop hating on the Vampire Diaries, it was written first, followed
some 14 YEARS later by Twilight. See?

It was announced today that Zachary Levi will be voicing a character in Walt Disney’s 3D musical-animation movie Rapunzel. Although we aren’t sure what character he is yet. They describe his character as being: a dashing bandit who finds himself on the road with the rebellious, teenage hair apparent.
The story will go something like this: The movie picks up with the princess, famous for her 70 feet of golden hair, after she’s been stolen from her parents’ castle as an infant and imprisoned. Now a teenager, Rapunzel escapes and goes on the run with a bandit as her captor pursues them.â€
The movie is set to be released in 2010. And I wonder if Zach will be singing. I have heard his singing before and it isn’t bad at all. I really hope he does!
Blake Lively rocked her white mini-dress at the Anna Sui for Target Collection launch party at 54 Crosby Street in New York yesterday. Anna Sui has a new line that is inspired by Gossip Girl. I know that I am a huge fan of the wardrobe on that show and I know I would love to have clothes just like them. Okay, I know I would never look great in them at all. But a girl can dream right?
Gerard Butler has been a working machine lately. His latest movie, Gamer, just opened in theaters last weekend and now his new movie, Law Abiding Citizen, is coming out on October 16th.
Clyde Shelton (Gerard Butler) is an upstanding family man whose wife and daughter are brutally murdered during a home invasion. When the killers are caught, Nick Rice (Jamie Foxx), a hotshot young Philadelphia prosecutor, is assigned to the case. Over his objections, Nick is forced by his boss to offer one of the suspects a light sentence in exchange for testifying against his accomplice. Fast forward ten years. The man who got away with murder is found dead and Clyde Shelton coolly admits his guilt. Then he issues a warning to Nick: Either fix the flawed justice system that failed his family, or key players in the trial will die.
Soon Shelton follows through on his threats, orchestrating from his jail cell a string of spectacularly diabolical assassinations that can be neither predicted nor prevented. I can’t wait to see this one. But at this point I am loving everything Gerard is doing. I must be a bit biased.
