THIS POST CONTAINS HEAVY SPOILERS be careful if you read ahead. I’m a huge fan of the tie in. And with that being said I haven’t watched the first episode of Flash Forward but I intend to when it comes up in my rotation of TV shows. So again ABC has done it by putting an ad for Lost right in the show. In the series premiere earlier this week they showed a shot of this Oceanic Billboard. It says on it that Oceanic has a perfect safety record. So how is that possible if Oceanic Flight 815 crashed?
When we last left Lost the bomb exploded which would have set everything back to the way it was before the crash. Now I have seen spoiler pictures posted of Jack in his suit at the airport and Claire standing around pregnant. So at the beginning of Season 6 it should start over again. There are no confirmations on this theory

If the show was at all tied in with LOST, Sonya Walger (Penelope Hume in LOST) and Dominic Monaghan (Charlie Pace in LOST) would not be playing characters in Flashforward. In the past the producers of LOST have been very careful with actors and characters. It makes absolutely no sense that they would all of the sudden throw this out the window.
Penny and Charlie still have a huge presense on LOST, and will be both be back in Season 6.
Case closed!
I wasn’t saying the whole show was a tie in, I was just talking about the poster.
They may not be intertwined, but if you go to ABC’s “Lost” page you’ll find something interesting. Near the bottom, there is a picture of a scene (not the one that shows the billboard) of “Flash Forward” and a link that says “What did you see?” Obviously, they’re trying to make a connection of some sort.
HERE IS ANOTHER VERY INTERESTING LOST CONNECTION:

Lost is not the only people to use Oceanic guys. OCEANIC is a FICTITIOOUS airline that JJ Abrams got from stock footage that a lot of shows use when they need to show an airline.
It is NOT exclusive to Lost.
I’ve been wondering if the whole Flash Forward series will culminate in a “reveal” showing that the whole thing was caused by an electromagnetic discharge in an area Lost fans would find familiar. The flash forward was kind of the same thing that Desmond experienced in The Constant, after all.
There’s also been all these weird little “coincidences” – like the one detective’s girlfriends saying she saw them getting married on the beach in Hawaii (Lost is filmed in Hawaii), the new character who was featured on the last episode (who saw himself in a club as an African American) having saved a girl from Australia (where Oceanic 815 departed from), and the fact that the ex-wife of the guy who saw his thought-to-be dead daughter, who is played by the actress who plays Cassidy on Lost (associated with Sawyer and Kate), is named Kate on Flash Forward.
There have been some others as well that I can’t remember right now, but in any case I do think it’s at least possible that Flash Forward will ultimately turn out to be an extremely long promo for the final season of Lost.
Ned, “who saw himself in a club as an African American” is the same actor who played Thomas in LOST. Thomas was Claire’s boyfriend and the father of Aaron.
Also Australia has a huge tie in – the girl rescued from the bus Australian – In the first episode a Kangaroo skipping down the main street – and the young boys Father returns home and in the boys room he Pauses and looks intently at a Boxing kangaroo.
( Oceanic Left from Australia )
MMMMmmmm !!!!
Also…. Charlie is Olivia’s daughter’s name, which was also the name of Penelope and Desmond’s son, named after, Charlie (Dominic Monaghan)…
That is what captivated me to see if there’s any similarities… Granted, I’m only on the 2nd episode, so I’m a little behind!
Its entirely possible that Charlie and Penelope and any other Lost characters to be completely different people on Flashforward. Just look at what the Island in Lost does with dead people.
Oh that is a good one. I like that one!
the lost suspense music also features in flash forward – another coincidence?
Can I go ahead and also point out that FF mentions a “Rutherford” case that is discussed on April 29, 2010? (Rutherford being Shannon’s last name on Lost) And Olivia and Mark live on “Sawyer” Blvd/Ave?
If you watch the behind the scenes/director’s comments on Lost, the writers come right out and say that they threw random Darma references around and placed the Darma logo on random things (such as the shark at the end of Season 1) just to get people stirred up. There is a good possibility that they are doing just that with FF. I sure hope not! I would love nothing more than to have a full blown spinn-off. But they are smart either way – look at all the buzz they are causing.
ffs you did not have to post the airport thing, thanks for spoiling season 6
the sawyer connection is probably a reference to the author of the book as that’s his surname.
I did post that there were heavy spoilers in the post. And highlighted it in bold.
my theory… is that for some reason, a death on the island could send you back to reality, or something like that. and Charlie (lost) changed his name to simon (after one of his band members btw.) and is now bitter with the world after having fallen in love, and had to face what he thought was certain death. after being treated like a low life druggy by most of the people on the island, being disrespected by john loch, etc…. now plans a revenge and pursues it…
i have NO IDEA about the details.. or the other characters featured in FF… but it would be very interesting to hear some thoughts on my theory… as its not fully developed
Let’s not forget Hoffs/Drawlar Funeral Parlor where Locke was laid out. At the time this appeared to tie in with the change from flashbacks to flashforwards but now I’m not so sure.. 2 kangaroo sightings- let’s get metaphysical – It wouldn’t surprise me at all if Flashforward picks up where Lost leaves off or turns out to be an offshoot of Lost. Pretty great stuff nonetheless
