CBS Cancels Three Rivers

Today has been a super crappy day for me. Everything bad that could happened has happened. So when I heard the news of CBS canceling Three Rivers I was livid. And this time it’s effective immediately so the shows they had left over won’t be aired and reruns of Criminal Minds and NCIS: Los Angeles will be aired in it’s place.
Now that this has happened I can’t keep my mouth shut for any longer. I have been thinking this way for along time and I didn’t want to express it because I care so much about Alex O’Loughlin. But people know how I feel about CBS. To recap everyone…Alex was put on a year’s holding contract after Moonlight was over. They said they would develop something for Alex and he would be back on TV just like we all wanted. So then Three Rivers came along and Alex poured his heart and soul into it. I think he really went out of his way to make his role really come to life. And then I see Three Rivers and I tried to give it a chance. But I thought it wasn’t something that I knew would make it past the first season. I think they ripped Alex off. He deserves so much better. He is so much better. This really makes my heart heavy because all I want to do is for him to find a place where he can stay. He has so much talent.
I just hope Alex knows how we are standing behind him.
UPDATE: Just as I was publishing this I got an email in my inbox that said that there was a new blog post from Alex. What I read in it made me even madder.

A lot of you probably already know this, because you guys know what’s happening in my life before I do, but today I was informed that Three Rivers would soon draw to an end.
To be honest I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.
After Moonlight was canceled I needed to go away and regroup for a while. I was hesitant to engage in another show at all, even when Three Rivers was proposed, but I realized immediately how important this story was and would be. This, the story of so many different people all around the world who’s lives have somehow been affected by organ donation and transplant medicine.
To be honest I don’t really know what else to say. I am beginning my process of detachment and will be in touch soon.

I will miss Three Rivers. Can’t believe it happened again! Moonlight, a show I loved, then Three Rivers. I will continue to support Alex in all his future endeavors.
I miss him already.

What the hell is CBS thinking by cancelling Three Rivers..it has been one of the best shows on TV in a long, long time…What idiots they are to have done this…The show about ALS with Mandy Patinkin, was one of the most compelling shows that has been on. I along with many other people looked forward to Sunday nights when this was aired, now we are forced to watch stupid reruns…I for one will be tuning in to another station..This is totally ridiculous….
I am so upset. I loved Moonlight and couldn’t believe whenthey took that off, and was so thrilled when three rivers came on. With all the junk reality shows on tv, this was REAL TV! What a rip off for Alex again! When are these networks going to wake up!
you now three rivers is a great show and alex but all of him seft into it cbs gave him a good slap in the face again cbs you guys do now a good show if it fall in your laps give three rivers a good time maybe 8pm get that race show off that show just buts me to sleep you took moonlight off what where you thinkind about thinking about now that show was great then to years later you but alex in three rivers and you take that show off to come on give the fans a break what you are doing to alex is wrong that show how lots of life to it i found it very good yes i like alex o’loughlin but look at this point alex is a good actor and need more time like any other actor would so but back three rivers that all i have to say alex o’loughlin you are a good actor you keep you head up some thing better will come your way

To bad this was in my opinion the second best of the three new medical shows Trauma being first . But this was right up there and definetly better then Mercy !! All this and that the gaul to cancel without a trace one of my favorite shows …at least bring that back !! No I know get more reality tv ……..
I cannot beleive that Three Rivers was cancelled. I just found out that it was cancelled. First it was Moonlight, wonderful show, it was cancelled now Three Rivers another very good program Yet CBS will keep on with dumb shows like “How I Met Your Mother ” and “Accidentially on Purpose”. I can’t beleive that CBS has done this again to Alex O’Loughlin, a really talented actor. The whole cast members of Three Rivers were so very good. I will miss that program so much.
I was looking at the tv guide for Three Rivers tonight. I figured the series would start up again after the holidays. Never missed an episode…the only show that tuned me in on Sunday night. I don’t believe it! This show had inspiring stories! Alex, you was excellent!
I am so pissed I want to know what the hell happens I mean the TV networks are giving this great "Don't miss the next Medical Drama" ( ER Shot) Then you see a HUNK of a man. So your hooked. Though I liked the Donor guy…Alex your eye candy to. But I mean you start this story for all of america to see then you cut everyone that LIKED IT OFF. I have a DVR. I watched your show after my kids were asleep. But I have to say SUNDAYS are a BAD time to ever have a NEW SHOW. 1 if there is a GAME of any type and it has extended time then the show starts late. so the DVR would only record the last 20 mins and you miss the first part. Now Sundays the TV does not belong to people that would be interested in shows like this because there's a GAME ON and the DVR is recording the show for the other person. Now you have the STUPID AMAZING RACE on and that cut into my recording of 3 rivers. I could never watch something that was most of the time LISTED BUT NEVER THE RIGHT THING ON. I have VOWED because of Jericho and Now Three Rivers I will NEVER watch another NEW SHOW ON CBS AGAIN……….NUTS CBS I HATE YOUR NETWORK. STOP BEING SO FUCKING GREEDY! Maybe if you would CUT A FEW BONUS then you would not be so worried about the damn ratings…
Miss the show – didn't realize it was cancelled – have been looking for it since the holidays. Good show, something new and edgy – I guess CBS can't handle that…I am sure you will have a "new" CSI coming out though!
I am so furious Alex deserves better than this HE IS THE AWESOMEST ACTOR I HAVE SEEN BEFORE and for this to happen to him before it just sucks to see and actor that we love so much go through this again i only hope for the best for him to find a T.V. show and stay there just give him a break already
