Go See Avatar In 4D In Korea!

It seems that Avatar has been all the rage in 3D over on this side of the water. But Korea is taking it a bit further. They are showing the movie in 4D. I was thinking how would they even do that? But they add in effects like moving seats, sprinkling water, laser lights, smells of explosives and wind, Korea’s leading multiplex chain, CJ-CGV, uses more than 30 effects during the movie and charges a much higher ticket price for the experience ($15.80 versus $6.90). They tried the whole 4D thing starting with the movie Journey To The Center of the Earth in one theater, and now they have three theaters that are capable of 4D and they are selling out.

I remember going to Niagara Falls when I was 19 and there was this haunted house that we went to. They made us go in this pitch black hallway and I couldn’t see a thing. They threw water at me and that was it for me. I screamed at the top of my lungs to get out of there. I have never been to a haunted house since.

I guess my point is that it would probably scare me to have all of that going on. It would probably be a sensory overload for me. I am awesome at multi-tasking but I think it might be too much for me.

What do you think? Would it be something you would want to see?
