Whether we all like it or not, Twilight has opened many doors for entertainment. It has brought vampires to the fore front mostly…and I know that I am thankful for that because now we have many other things we can enjoy because of it. (Ian Somerhalder mostly…)
Pat Robertson , a controversial televangelist , says that watching Twilight will lead to demonic possession. Okay, stop right there. Sparkly vampires that can’t go out in the sun, can lead to that? Get ready for the quotes, these are some good ones!

I think that Twilight is a work of fiction. Along with, The Vampire Diaries and True Blood. It just seems to me that sometimes people take things too far. I mean he even said that Harry Potter was ‘seductive’. I am not sure how he got that from that series. Maybe I”m a bit behind in my reading and watching then.
It’s nice to think that there is a world where a 112 year old vampire could fall in love with a 17 year old and they could get married and so on and so on. Or where there is a really hot vampire with blue eyes that falls in love with all the wrong women and you wish that somehow you could live in Mystic Falls to help him. Or…I haven’t watched True Blood yet to be able to comment on that..but I hear it’s like Twilight for adults.
Fantasy…not the occult. Not at all. What is this reality? There could never be such things. Or could there..

I think thats going to far I think those movies and shows are like that to make you have a good time watching them to make you see if that was real, thats whoat would happen I hate the twilight but harry potter and TVD are cool It is fun we know it is real Very kids teens have fun looking for them when they come out and we injoy them .

Taylor Blue, I totally agree. Its fantasy and actors bring us this in all forms. We can see the difference between real and not real and Writers and Actors bring us entertainment and people can live our sane, moral lives. Pat Robertson is an idiot and thinks people should only believe in what he wants and obviously doesn’t have any faith that we can think for ourselves.
Ian Somerhalder is definitely the best thing that has come out of this whole vampire craze. I love Twilight, don't get me wrong. But Ian Somerhalder.. damn.

You must be kidding me, right? Vampire Diaries is the greatest series I ever watched so shut up! Why everything has to be realistic? It's just a show and that makes it so intersting.

Just one little thing: please don’t compare True Blood with Twilight. True Blood is another thing completely. I recommend to watch it before giving an opinion about it. If after you don’t like it is good but at least you can give a truthful testimony, not one based on hearsay.

As far as True Blood and Vampire Diaries (and Twilight), they’re entertainment. Everyone knows vampires are not real. Otherwise, we’d all be seeking our own Damons and Erics and Edwards and truly expecting to live forever. Liking vampires and the fascinating stories their writers tells and their actors portray will not lead everyone to walk through a graveyard at night, or hit up the morgue, after a recent “animal attack” in their city. Not even children are that dumb.
Vampires… right up there with believing some giant, all-knowing being in the sky cares what I do with my life on a daily basis if I’m a good person. He has his own fantasy world, I’ll keep mine. At least I don’t actually believe my demons are coming for me.

If reading Twilight and watching the movies (along with The Vampire Diaries) causes demonic possession… all I can say is I hope the Winchester Boys are the ones that take the demon out of me!

I think you read that WAY wrong. Taylor Blue wasn’t saying that she thinks the films are evil, she was simply saying that some televangilist says they are. She’s saying (in not the same words) WTF dude, they’re fantastical, not evil.
