Technically I’m supposed to write ‘Ashlee Simpson-Wenz‘ but I already am annoyed by the spelling of her first name! Simpson is allegedly going to be a “star” on the CW’s remake of Melrose Place. I say “star” because…yea. If anything, this only takes away any credibility she had. I mean, yes – she can sing alright. But she’s not an actress. Unless you’re counting her thriving career on 7th Heaven.
Why can no one think up good TV shows anymore? Do we have to remake everything? I can just hear a CW exec, “Hey, let’s do a One Tree Hill remake! Oh wait, that’s still on? Damn. Let’s cancel it and then recast with younger people already.”
THR says:Â On the CBS Par-produced “Melrose,” Simpson-Wentz will play Melrose Place’s newest resident, Violet, a bright-eyed but shrewd small-town girl and recent L.A. transplant who has come to town with a secret. Her character draws parallels to the original series’ blond, budding-Southern-belle starlet, Sandy Harling (Amy Locane).

Pete Wentz mustn’t have payed attention when he was grabbing his boots this morning. He must have thought he was grabbing army boots and grabbed his wife, Ashlee Simpson’s furry Uggs instead. This is not making my thought process any easier. Right now, it’s -27C at least with the windchill and I was standing out there earlier. I started thinking when my toes froze that it might actually be a good idea to invest in a pair of Uggs to keep my feet toasty warm. (But, wearing them with socks is a must!) So thanks Pete, if I go out and buy a pair I am sending YOU the bill!

When I saw these pictures of Ashlee Simpson, I wondered who she was with. I didn’t recognize him at all. It’s her husband, Pete Wentz! He looks so different with his hair done like that, and where is his makeup? I never though I’d say that I liked a guy better with his makeup on.
Ashlee and Pete hosted a New Years Eve party at PURE nightclub. It looks like they had fun. May be it was even date night for them away from their precious little baby Bronx. Ashlee looks amazing too, you can’t tell she is nursing!

Someone is in big do do for this mistake. They spelled Ashlee Simpson’s name as ‘Ashley’ and now someone is going to get fired for it. I don’t blame them. Misspelling people’s names, especially on a magazine shouldn’t happen. (Yeah, right!) I can’t tell you how many times I have misspelt Audrina Patridge’s name, and Josh Hartnett’s…and my favorite is Naomi Watts. But I think at a magazine you would have about a dozen proofreaders and they should have caught it.
