Blake Lively & Ryan Reynold’s Wedding Photo

Posted by on December 21, 2012 | No Comments

When it was announced back in September that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynold‘s got married everyone was shocked. Well, mostly me. I didn’t even see it coming! Of course the two met on the set of the movie, The Green Lantern, but did anyone see that Blake would marry Ryan? NOT ME.

Now, the one and only wedding photo has been released. Yes, this is it. The two of them holding onto hands. I guess it’s a pretty picture and all. But I wanted to see how beautiful the both of them were. It is all about privacy though, I bet. Ryan has always been such a private person. At least we get to see this picture.

Blake Lively Covers Allure Magazine

I am still shocked about the announcement that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds got married. They are so cute together! I just didn’t even think they were dating but I read somewhere it’s been a year now! I guess I’ve been living under a rock. Congratulations to them both, I wish them all the happiness in the world.

Blake is the cover girl for the October 2012 issue of Allure. She’s beautiful like always! The highlights from the interview are below:

On being shy: “I’m a very shy person. I can be outgoing, but I’m also very private.”

On ‘Savages’ co-star Taylor Kitsch: “Our first day [was filming] the sex scenes. I was in a full-length skirt, a full top, and he was the one with his tush sticking out. But that was kind of empowering, like, ha-ha!”

On Ben Affleck: “As somebody who knows Ben and Jennifer [Garner], they cannot be more sacred with their family and their home life.”

On living a sober life: “I don’t drink. I’ve never tried a drug.”

On giving in to cravings: “I obviously have plenty of imperfections on my body, but I’d rather have a little bit of cellulite and go do a food trip and try every ice cream place in the South.

Blake Lively Covers Glamour

Posted by on June 1, 2011 | No Comments

Blake Lively looks very glamorous  on the July 2011 cover of Glamour. Right now Blake has so much going on, her new romance with Leonardo DiCaprio and the nude pictures that everyone else says are real…but she says not. She’s also starring in, The Green Lantern, with Ryan Reynolds. This girl is on fire! Here are some highlights to the interview in the magazine:

On joining Twitter: “People ask me why I don’t tweet. Honestly, I’m so sick of myself.”

On becoming the new face of Chanel’s Mademoiselle handbag: “It’s such an honor. When I found out I got [the job], you and I went to dinner and concocted this plan, like two little girls at a tea party, saying, “Oh, it would be the best if we had a party. And you’ll perform, and we’ll do it in Paris.” Like you and I were in charge of Chanel!”

On being her own stylist: “I think I became my own stylist by not knowing any better. And once I was told it was time to get one, I thought: This is one of my favorite hobbies! And I’m going to pay someone to steal my hobby from me? That’s a terrible idea!”

On getting ready for an event: “I like it to be easy. I don’t feel like I have to do so much with hair and makeup, because I’m the mannequin for these beautiful clothes, so I never want to do anything too distracting. Most of the time, I put my hair in a ballerina bun, and I take it down and it’s wavy, and then I leave. I feel shy when people are fussing on me. And my diet of choice before events is a chicken potpie from Tea & Sympathy, because they never have enough food at these things.”

On breakups: “Every relationship you have, you’re learning and growing and taking something from that. So for me, it’s never been too dramatic of a thing when something ends.”

The issue hits newsstands on June 7th.

Blake Lively Has Allure

Posted by on September 19, 2010 | No Comments

I know I’m a bit slow on this one but humor me a bit. Blake Lively is on the October 2010 cover of Allure magazine. This is the second cover in a row that they have finally done Blake justice. In the magazine she talks about her new role in Ben Affleck‘s movie, kids and her career. Here are the highlights:

On her role in The Town: “The part was originally supposed to be for a 37-year-old woman–she’s a mother–but when I read the script, I knew I had to have the part. It was selfish of me. I worried that I would ruin it for other people. But I had to try it.”

On keeping her private life private: “My anonymity is something I treasure. Wanting to be an actor and wanting to be famous are different.”

On her dreams of domesticity:: “I want babies! Lots of babies.”

On her love of eating internationally: “I take a cooking class everywhere I travel. I find it’s the best way to get to know a culture. It’s what people bring to the family every day, what they break bread over–it’s a very intimate thing.”

On her unexpected career: “I come from a family of actors, and I didn’t want to act…You make your mistakes on a bigger screen for everyone to see.”

On one of her favorite foodie accomplishments: “The best thing I made was a chocolate Grand Marnier with homemade fresh chocolate peanut butter, caramelized candied pecans, and dark chocolate chunks.”

Blake Lively Glamorous For Marie Claire UK

Posted by on September 3, 2010 | No Comments

Finally, someone got Blake Lively right on the cover of a magazine. She looks glamorous on the October 2010 cover of the UK version of Marie Claire. I have always been a huge fan of Blake’s and I am loving the look on her. In the interview she talks about Penn Badgley and if she googles herself. Here are the highlights:

On being on Gossip Girl: ‘I’m on a very commercial show so the last thing I want to do is a commercial movie,’ she expands. ‘I wanna take risks, I don’t wanna play it safe. I mean, I could probably make more money if I did more commercial projects. It would be nice to buy an apartment but I’m 22 and I don’t need to yet.’

On being labeled a fashion icon: ‘I’ve always loved fashion,’ she beams with child-like enthusiasm. ‘Love it!’ she repeats before adding, ‘that’s why I don’t use a stylist. Number one, it’s such an expression of self,’ then regales me with the tale of how, while filming Gossip Girl in Paris, she recently got to meet a fashion hero of hers, Karl Lagerfeld. ‘I was speaking with Anna Wintour,’ she casually name-drops the famed editor of American Vogue, ‘and we were just talking about different fashion houses and I said, “I love Chanel”, and she said, “You should come with me to the show.” I also said I loved Dior. She said, “OK, well, I’ll take you to the Chanel and Dior shows and we’ll meet with Karl and John [Galliano] afterwards.” So I went to dinner with Karl Lagerfeld and we got to spend a lot of priceless time together. Oh my gosh, riding around in Karl Lagerfeld’s Rolls-Royce with the top down. Insane!’

On googling herself: ‘No,’ she almost sneers at the idea. ‘Why? I mean, I’m with myself all of the time. Why would I want to see myself on the internet? I can look in the mirror. I think it’s destructive.’

On her relationship with Penn Badgley: ‘At the end of the day, you’re just in any relationship. How does anybody go to work every day and come home? You just do it and it either works or it doesn’t.’ Then she reminds you of how much of a homebody she is: ‘You know, I don’t have very many friends that are actors, the ones that I do have are people I’ve worked on films with for months. I don’t go around collecting people for my BlackBerry because I want to have phone friendships.’
