Kristen Bell Flirty & Fabulous At The Astro Boy Premiere

Kristen Bell looked flirty and fabulous at the premiere of the movie Astro Boy the other night at the The Mann Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Moviefone recently interviewed Kristen about the millions of things she has going on right now.  Here are the highlights:

On doing a lot of voice work: It’s easier in the sense that you don’t have to go through hair and makeup but you do have to approach the part the same way. If you try to fake it, you can hear it. If you pretend to sniffle, you’re going to sound like an idiot. You have to be just as emotionally present and really know who your character is.

On becoming a geek: It absolutely happened by chance. I looked for projects with good material and good writing and it just so happened that a lot of them were genre projects. I didn’t plan it out, but I am ultimately flattered and happy to be accepted into that community. I love going to Comic-Con. I’ve been there five out of the past six years. The geek community has the most intelligent fans out there.

On being on camera for Gossip Girl: That’s a question for [showrunners] Josh [Schwartz] and Stephanie [Savage]. It’s up to them to decide whether to keep the mystery or to show her face, but my guess is they’re going to keep the mystery. I have a very empty threat with Josh where I joke that one day, I’m going to go to extras casting and get cast as a waitress and just start staring into the camera.

On what project she’s done that she is most known for: It ping-pongs back and forth between ‘Deadwood,’ ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’ and ‘Veronica Mars’. One movie that comes up all the time that you wouldn’t think, though, is ‘Pootie Tang.’ It was my first movie ever. I played Andy Richter’s daughter and I had one line at the end of the film. But people watch that movie all the time and will yell at me, “You were great in ‘Pootie Tang.’” And I’m thinking, “Oh my gosh, you recognize me from ‘Pootie Tang’? I was 18 years old. I’ll send you my bio. It’s updated.”

Kristen Bell Covers Woman’s Health

Kristen Bell looks like a sweet heart on the November 2009 cover of Woman’s Health. She is currently starring in the movie, Couples Retreat. I know I have heard great things about this movie. One of the quotes from Kristen in the magazine is so cute!

“I want to hate Megan Fox more than anything. We all do. But I read a bunch of her quotes, and she’s witty and smart and carefree. I thought, ‘This is the kind of girl I’d love to be friends with’.”

I hope that Kristen can get her wish and be friends with Megan! Here are some more highlights from the magazine:

On working with real-life boyfriend, Dax Shepard, on the set of her new flick, When In Rome: “We were trying to one-up each other…That’s what we do at home, too. It’s like, ‘Wait—watch me do this funny bit.’ ‘No, watch me do this funny bit!.””

On her relationship with Dax Shepard: “I’ve learned the necessity for healthy communication. How important it is to talk about your deepest, darkest fears and feelings. Your partner should hear your most embarrassing insecurities, because once you say them out loud, you’ve created a safe zone. A snuggle party can fix anything—it’s true.”

On spending nights at home: “There is almost nothing, barring a natural disaster, that I would let eat into my time at home, playing Scrabble with Dax or talking to my girlfriends. There’s packing your day and then there’s jam-packing your day, and I won’t do it anymore. I need to decompress. I need to feel like I’m a person— a human being—first.”

Kristen Bell Does Lucky Magazine

Kristen Bell is the October 2009 cover girl for Lucky magazine. I have missed seeing her around and I wish she would come back to Heroes.

In the magazine she describes what she is currently wearing a lot of.

“Equestrian blazers and lots of clean, defined silhouettes…They’re sophisticated, which is good for me since I often come across as a lot younger than I actually am.”

I think that there isn’t anything that Kristen could wear that would be bad.

Kristen Bell At The 2009 Teen Choice Awards

Kristen Bell was looking great at the he arrivals of the 2009 Teen Choice Awards held tonight at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, California. Kristen currently voices the narrator in the hit TV show Gossip Girl.

I still miss her in Heroes.

Kristen Bell Does Cosmopolitan

Kristen Bell is the September 2009 cover girl for Cosmopolitan. I miss her on Heroes, but I’m glad I still get to hear her on Gossip Girl! In this issue she talks about her boyfriend, Dax Shephard, and Gossip Girl. Here are the highlights:

On being the voice of Gossip Girl: “I’m very proactive with my career. And when I heard about Gossip Girl, I called someone at the network and asked if I could do something on it. At that time, I didn’t have a job, and I’m not just some idiot who wants to hang out in L.A. — I want to work.”

On love and her relationship with comedian/actor Dax Shephard: “Every woman in her 20s goes through a period where she just doesn’t believe love is out there anymore, but it is. And I think the minute you stop looking for it is when it comes for you.”

Kristen Bell & Her Cute Black Dress

I have been so busy this week that I haven’t had a chance to post about Kristen Bell at the one year anniversary of the 3.1 Phillip Lim Los Angeles store in West Hollywood, California on Wednesday (July 15). And incidentally it’s her birthday today, she’s 29 today. She’s so young yet!

She was one of my favorite characters on Heroes when she was on there. I was disappointed when they killed her off. I was hoping that Syler and Elle would be together forever.
