For saying what I have been thinking about Michael Jackson for quite some time. I have spent adamant time defending him for many reasons, that I just won’t go into here. Suffice it to say, that regardless of what you think he did or didn’t do (bear in mind you nor I have the right to cast stones), he was an icon, the King of Pop. He made more progress and advances in the music industry single handedly than most bands or musicians combined.
He paved the way for a lot of the new wave music you hear and love today, and he deserves respect as an artist, and a human being.
So thank you Michael.
and thank you Madonna for having the strength and the guts to say something that a lot of us feel, and haven’t been able ( sadly in some cases) or were too afraid to say.

Walking the line between good taste and risk is hard enough for a normal red carpet event, but when it comes to the Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, it’s time for fashion critics (large and small) to be more ruthless than normal. You see, this event is sort of almost like Halloween – you’re supposed to go all out. And while the celebrity of your choice should look good, if they play it too safe here they’re just plain boring! (Such was sadly the case for far to many – from model Gisele Bundchen in a tiny minidress, to model Amber Valletta in a simple tangerine colored dress. YAWN.
This year’s theme? The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion
Sadly, Gossip Girl Leighton Meester goes on my list of ‘BAD’. She certainly made an effort. But she went overboard. She can’t seem to decide between an 80’s theme or being Shirley Temple. I’d personally pass on both. Verdict: BAD.
But LeMe wasn’t alone. In fact even the wonderful Heidi Klum had a ‘miss’ last night.

If you didn’t see the latest episode of Head Case on Starz, then you missed Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) confessing her desire to evolve her music in a new direction. If Madonna evolves, why not Geri? Watch it here! Then, view the cast of Head Case and don’t miss it on Fridays on Starz!
Head Case is a super nice companion comedy to the new series Party Down (which is like the biggest Veronica Mars reunion show ever!). Every episode has made me laugh, which is a large feat! What can I say, I’m not easily impressed.

Celebrity workouts are probably always going to be a hot topic to discuss. This is especially true since there are always new workout ideas coming along to keep things interesting (and interest increases chances that the workouts will be done). Recently, I tried some yoga DVDs, and I really do like yoga- not

that I’d do it in PUBLIC. Celebrities that also like yoga include: Madonna, Reese Witherspoon, Kristen Bell and Nicole Kidman.
Nicole Kidman supposedly also has an indoor pool and enjoys swimming laps. I’d probably like doing that too, if I only had my very own indoor pool! Psh!
I’m not sure if there is a craze for Bollywood workouts, but I’m going to be trying them. It’s much less weird (to me) than the ’striptease’ workouts. I got the DVD for Bollywood Booty with Hemalayaa and Bollywood Burn with Hemalayaa. I think they will be tres fun!
Amazon.com says of Bollywood Burn:
Spice up your workout and boogie to the bhangra beat. Inspired by the sassy, sexy moves seen in hit Indian films, this isn’t the same old boring exercise routine. It’s playful, seductive, and leaves you feeling high on life. Think of it as yoga with a triple-espresso twist or a double-chai high.
Fitness star and yogini Hemalayaa leads you through three 15-minute programs, from low to high impact. The first gets you in the groove, the second ups the cardio to optimum fat-burning range, and the third has you shimmying and bopping like a Bollywood film beauty. As you dance, you’ll lose weight; tone your core, hips, and thighs; and kiss stress good-bye.
I already feel the burn!
