I can’t ever turn down an opportunity to talk about Ryan Gosling and his band, Dead Man’s Bones. I really have missed hearing Ryan singing from the MMC days. I know that I didn’t ever really to get to hear him back then either. But he seems to have everything, a great actor and a great singer. (I wonder if he can still dance?) Ryan and Zach Shields shot this documentary with Pitchfork about getting ready for one of their shows. I thought it was neat to see how it really comes together with the choirs that they use at every show.
Now all I need to do is see them at a show. I wonder when they are coming to Canada?
I am so happy that Ryan Gosling is in a movie. I have missed him so much. I’m a bit disappointed by the poster above. I was hoping they would go with the one that was leaked before. I’m also excited to see the chemistry that Ryan and Michelle Williams have. Blue Valentine premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and from what I heard it did really good.
I am confused with the pink in the poster when the color in the title is blue. But I could be wrong and it should be pink. I think it’s a movie about love. So pink is perfect. Or I really have no clue what I am talking about.
I’m not sure I’ve mentioned this but I am loving the Sundance Film Festival and all the new pictures of Ryan Gosling. I know I have a one track mind sometimes. Loving the pictures of Ryan can’t be all that bad. And he’s in these pictures with Michelle Williams and director Derek Cianfrance. I am hopingBlue Valentine hits theaters soon. I need to see it.
Ryan Gosling is at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah right now where his movie, Blue Valentine, is premiering. He stars along side Michelle Williams in the story about love. There is racy scenes in the movie and Ryan says that those scenes came easy with Michelle.
“You know, those scenes were easy with Michelle,” Ryan insisted. “We’ve just been through so much together, you know? They aren’t gratuitous scenes. They are about love and falling in love, and that’s part of it,” he explained. “So, we felt like they were important scenes that we wanted to get right.”
I can’t wait to finally see a trailer for this movie.
Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams were at the premiere of their movie Blue Valentine last night at the Sundance Film Festival. I am happy to see Ryan back. I could never write enough about him. He did this really cute interview and I had to share it. (Blue Valentine centers on a contemporary married couple, charting their evolution over a span of years by cross-cutting between time periods.)
Ryan brought his mom, Donna, along as a date for the movie and during the movie he has quite a bit of friskiness and to make sure that she didn’t get too uncomfortable Ryan did something so his mom would know that an iffy scene was coming.
“I gave her an iPod to wear. Every time there was something I thought she shouldn’t watch, I pressed play.”
In the clip that was shown yesterday where Ryan’s character climbs up a fence at the Manhattan Bridge was improvised.
“She had a secret, and David told me I had to get it out of her. I didn’t even know what it was. But we couldn’t leave the bridge until it came out.”
And they filmed it for four hours and it wasn’t until Ryan threw his leg over the fence that she blurted it out. There isn’t a stunt double at all. It was all Ryan. I hope it gets the justice it deserves.
