With Vampire Diaries gone for a couple more weeks I seem kind of lost on what shows I usually have spoilers for. I know that I just happened to stumble on the spoilers for this episode of Gossip Girl. I mean the new shows look so good. And does Chuck finally meet his mom?

This episode, The Lady Vanished, goes like this: Rufus (Matthew Settle) and Lily (Kelly Rutherford) grow suspect of Jenny’s (Taylor Momsen) relationship with Damien (guest star Kevin Zeggers). Chuck (Ed Westwick) learns more about the woman (guest star Laura Harring) who may or may not be his mother. Dan (Penn Badgley) and Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) struggle through the awkwardness of dating other people. Andrew McCarthy directed the episode.

Taylor Momsen looks glamorous  on the February 2009 issue of Seventeen magazine. In the issue she talks about being taken seriously, being called angsty and finding music. Here are the highlights:

On teenage angst: “I am angsty. I’ll be angsty until I’m 80 years old. I think that keeps things fresh. But I always think angst is such a derogatory word toward teenagers. It just means you’re figuring s*** out, and I don’t know why that’s a negative thing.”

On people taking her seriously: “I think people don’t really take me seriously because I’m 16. And they think most 16-year-olds don’t know what they want to do. But I actually really do, because I’ve been thinking about it since I was 2. And in the world of acting, you have such a stigma put onto you that you [get into this business] for the fame. Fame frankly means nothing. It’s so stupid. Unless you do something great and unless you do something that’s fulfilling to you, what’s the point?”

On not wanting to be the next tabloid star: “I love working. I’m a workaholic, and no one believes it. I’m in the recording studio until three in the morning. I get such a rap for being like Lindsay Lohan – and I hate naming names because she’s really sweet – and I’m really not. I don’t go out. I have no desire to be some tabloid party girl. I’m entirely a loner. I have been my entire life.”

On finding music: “It’s like the phrase ‘Money doesn’t buy you happiness,’ because it doesn’t. Everyone finds it in their own way, and I’m really lucky that I found music early, you know? But, I think in a way that’s because of the life that I’ve lived so far — I was forced.”

Can you believe we are already at episode 8 of the season? I think that’s crazy talk! I was caught up with Gossip Girl but now I’m lagging again. I just need to have time to watch all my shows.

Episode 8 is called, They Shoot Humphrey’s, Don’t They?, and it goes like this: Not satisfied with just being Queen of Constance Billard, Jenny (Taylor Momsen) sets her sights on becoming the Queen of all the Upper East Side by landing the hottest escort for Cotillion. Nate (Chace Crawford) and Chuck (Ed Westwick) plot to help Serena (Blake Lively) and Blair (Leighton Meester) repair their damaged friendship. Dan (Penn Badgley) is upset when Olivia (guest star Hilary Duff) contemplates leaving school for a movie project.

Gossip Girl is on a hot streak. And I really need to catch up on the episodes I’ve missed!

The seventh episode is called, How To Succeed In Bassness. And it goes like this: In need of publicity for his new hotel, Chuck (Ed Westwick) decides to move up his club’s opening and enlists Serena’s (Blake Lively) help to get the word out to her celebrity clients. Feeling left out of the planning, Blair (Leighton Meester) attempts to win Chuck’s approval by secretly helping him with a problem concerning opening night. Dan (Penn Badgley) is unnerved when he finally watches one of Olivia’s (guest star Hilary Duff) infamous sex scenes with co-star and real-life boyfriend at the time, Patrick Robinson (guest star Simon Miller). Jenny (Taylor Momsen) is forced to choose between her relationship with Eric (Connor Paolo) and her new role as Queen Bee. Rufus (Matthew Settle) gets Lily (Kelly Rutherford) into the Halloween spirit.

It looks like Gossip Girl is gaining speed again and with the newest episode we see Tyra Banks and Hilary Duff guest starring. I know there has been mixed feelings on Hilary being on the show. I don’t think she’ll do too bad.

The fourth episode of the season is called Dan De Fleurette and goes like this: It’s the first day of school at Constance Billard which means it’s also time for Jenny (Taylor Momsen) to take her rightful place as the new Queen Bee. Unfortunately for Jenny, Blair (Leighton Meester) is more than happy to intervene when news reaches her that she may be needed back at Constance. Lily (Kelly Rutherford) returns home to Rufus (Matthew Settle) and her family to find that things are definitely not as she left them. A famous movie actress, Olivia Burke (guest star Hilary Duff), enrolls at NYU — and is assigned to be Vanessa’s (Jessica Szohr) roommate — hoping for a somewhat normal college experience. Tyra Banks guest stars as Ursula, an actress co-starring in Olivia’s movie and someone who Serena (Blake Lively) befriends.

These Gossip Girl pictures are awesome! I had seen parts of this photo shoot before but finally I got a hold of most of the pictures from it. It makes me excited for the season to start already. The first episode of the season, Reversals Of Fortune,,  is on Monday.

I was looking at these pictures of Taylor Momsen on another site when I was thinking that the dress she was wearing was really cute. And it was all sparkly (and I love my sparkles) and it was all one piece. Then I took a closer look and saw that I could see her belly in between there. My mom side instantly took over. Taylor just turned 16, but in all honesty she looks way older than that. And as a mom I don’t agree with the belly showing thing.

They claim she was out on a date with some mystery guy. I wonder if the guy just got caught walking behind her. You know how those stories go. And if that’s the case the guy is going to like that he’s splattered all over all the celebrity gossip websites. (Except for here.)

And why can’t I stop singing that song, Genie In A Bottle when I see that dress?

I think writing about TV shows has to be my favorite part of the job. Not that what I do really could be considered a job, since it’s so fun! The new TV season is coming up and I have so many things I want to write about.

This Season 3 Gossip Girl cast photo has been released. And I’m afraid to say but the only person that really sticks out is Blake Lively. I’m not sure why they dressed her up in blue when everyone else was wearing darker colors. It could be a set-up for the season to come though too. I guess we will have to find out when the new season starts in September.

Gossip Girl Season 2 is already out on DVD. On the DVD is this Gag Reel. I think sometimes my favorite thing of every show is the bloopers. These ones really show you how cool Blake Lively and Leighton Meester really are. And my favorite part is when Ed Westwick changes over to his normal voice to ask a question.,  I still can’t believe how English his accent really is, he covers it up so good on the show.
