The All-American Rejects have teamed up with Gillette.com for Gillette UNCUT, a new music film series by acclaimed rock photographer Danny Clinch.  UNCUT is part of the personal care brand’s new Shave Like A Rockstar campagin, and features a short film, photos, and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the band as they prepare for a recent concert in Atlantic City.  In the intimate short, Tyson, Nick, Mike and Chris share with fans their pre-show rituals and preparations, as well as how they have evolved as a band and as individuals since their formation in 1999. After closing out 2009 with their hit single “Gives You Hell” as the #1 most played song of the year, The All-American Rejects kick off 2010 with a brand new song for “Almost Alice,” the soon to be released CD from Buena Vista Records is inspired by the upcoming Disney Digital 3D film, ALICE IN WONDERLAND.

ALMOST ALICE, a collection of original songs based on some of the most charismatic characters in literary history, acts as a companion piece to the film’s score composed by Danny Elfman for the original motion picture soundtrack and will hit shelves March 2, 2010.

The Rejects’ new song, “The Poison,” is a cheeky take on Alice and her Mad Hatter.  “Being a self-proclaimed Mad Hatter, this is a song about how prissy little Alice can be poison for us all.  It was best for us both that she fell down that hole,” joked The All-American Rejects front man Tyson Ritter.

“Gives You Hell,” the lead single off of The All-American Rejects‘ current album, When the World Comes Down, has officially been named the #1 Most Played Song of 2009 on Billboard’s Top 40 Chart, edging out the competition that included Lady Gaga, The Black Eyed Peas, Flo Rida and Taylor Swift.

“We are thrilled that we have been played relentlessly over the past year, hopefully people aren’t too sick of us by now,” said Rejects front man Tyson Ritter. “But truly, we have the best fans in the world. It’s because of them that this band is where we are. They are the ones who kept our song on the charts and on the radio for so long and we thank them.”

“Gives You Hell” spent four weeks at #1 on the Top 40 charts making it the group’s first #1 song on Mainstream Top 40 and Adult Top 40 Tracks charts. The song was also their first to break into the top five on Billboard’s Hot 100 and stayed in the Billboard top 10 for over 13 weeks. With over 3.3 million copies in digital sales alone, these stats make “Gives You Hell” the band’s most successful single to date.

The successes of 2009 have paved the way for an exciting 2010 with The All-American Rejects. The band has locked in major appearances such as performing at this year’s Winter Olympics at the Whistler Medals Plaza, a high profile performance for Direct TV at Super Bowl XLIV and a Direct TV special set to air in February, with more exciting news and details to be announced.

The All-American Rejects posted a new video to their YouTube channel explaining Tyson Ritter’s recent health problems.,  With several stories circulating after canceling a handful of dates on the Blink 182 tour, Tyson took to YouTube to clear up what happened over the past few weeks. Watch Tyson recount the story of getting an infection in his knee that spread to his bloodstream.,  Although he dropped weight in the hospital, the AAR front man is on his way to recovery after surgery and in great spirits.,  Check out the clip here to learn what fans can expect next from AAR and stay tuned for the forthcoming video for their single “I Wanna” which is available on iTunes now.

I was talking to Tyson Ritter’s cousin, my BFF BJ Ritter,,  the other day (okay maybe it wasn’t the other day but still) and he told me how Tyson had did a photo shoot for Penguin. And now I finally tracked down one of the pictures. I am not sure what Penguin sells…but I want to buy everything. I think I am for sure a new fan of them!

The All-American Rejects got busy in New York City this week starting off with a special performance of their hit single “Gives You Hell.” They took the stage with house band Wale at MTV’s VMAs show where front man Tyson Ritter debuted a new glittery look. After rocking the proverbial house, Ritter caught up with MTV news and confirmed the long standing rumor that he will in fact be teaming up with pop powerhouse Rihanna for a yet to be recorded track. With AAR’s stock rising by the day, it only made sense for the quartet to cap their week by ringing the opening bell for the New York Stock Exchange.

Tyson, Nick, Mike and Chris rocked out a special 6 song set featuring a handful of tracks from the band’s latest release When The World Comes Down including hits “Gives You Hell” and “I Wanna” as well as “Dirty Little Secret” from the band’s double-platinum album Move Along. The Rejects pulled out all the stops for this wicked performance including an acoustic ballad with “Mona Lisa” and the beautifully performed “Another Heart Calls” featuring indie pop act The Pierces.
