With Heroes coming back tonight for it’s after Christmas premiere I thought it was interesting to find out that Heroes is the most pirated tv show of 2009. This has to be good news for the Heroes people who have noticed ratings have been going down. But this is a bad thing too. If people are getting it pirated it doesn’t show up in the ratings and since it looks like Heroes is going strong you can’t tell because of all these illegal copies. So what kind of numbers are these people losing with these illegally downloaded copies of the show? The estimated numbers: 6,580,000 downloads, 5,900,000 TV viewers.
The other shows that are highly pirated? Dexter, Lost, Prison Break, House, 24, Desperate Housewives, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Grey’s Anatomy, and True Blood.
I am wondering if they could figure a way to get these votes counted for a show because now I see how important it can be for a show that is on the verge of being canceled.

I am obsessed with television. I’m really sorry. It kind of goes with the territory though when I love to focus on television shows. The networks have released most of the yes’ and no’s for the 2009-2010 season. (I’m still holding out for Chuck!)
I decided I would pick some of my favorites from each network and tell you if they have been renewed or not (Or could be renewed or canceled). And if you find a puddle of water at the bottom of the post don’t mind it. It’s just because I’ve cried over my canceled shows. (This year though I think the only one that I watch that is in jeopardy is Chuck.)
