100 Monkeys Release Their Official Music Video For Ugly Girl

Posted by taylor blue on November 11, 2009 | No Comments

We love 100 Monkeys here. All of them (Jackson Rathbone, Ben Graupner, Ben Johnson, Jerad Anderson, and Uncle Larry). And I am so happy to see that one of my favorite songs, Ugly Girl, is a music video. And really watching the guys putting on makeup is funny! I love it! I think the guys should for sure rock that look more often at concerts.

Jackson did an interview recently and he was saying how he is more excited about music than acting…which later he explains that he loves both.  (Considering the band is releasing a new album, GRAPE.)

“People say that [I'm more excited about music than acting], but I just feel like I have more control over music than I do over, say, playing Jasper in the Twilight series. Because I get to write the words that I sing. As opposed to as an actor, I wear what people want me to wear, I stand where they want me to stand, I say what they want me to say. That’s great — I love being an actor and I’ve been studying to be an actor since I was about 14 years old. But music balances it out. I can’t have one without the other.”

I know that I would be sad if Jackson left either place. He can rock it out and act.  And later in the interview I love how humble that Jackson has stayed.

“We don’t have a cushy life. We’re not playing arenas and selling them out yet. We play dirty dive bars and love it. Whenever we’re on the road we sleep in two motel room and take turns sleeping on the floors. It’s not all glamorous and it’s great. If it were all glamor, it’d be boring.”

I love that they play at the “dirty bars” I have heard nothing but good things about their concerts. It could be that they are more intimate because they are smaller. They love to connect with the audience. And for that…they will always be loved.

Heath Ledger Covers Vanity Fair

Heath Ledger Vanity Fair Cover August 2009

I think its so ironic that with all the happenings with Michael Jackson that it reminded me of Heath Ledger and his sudden death. And then not a couple of days later this issue was buzzing around the internet. Although this issue was planned before Michael’s passing it’s just too freaky for me. This August 2009 issue of Vanity Fair hits news stands tomorrow and is packed with stuff I really don’t want to read. I did find some nice things that I would share…

On Heath’s devotion to acting according to director Terry Gilliam: “He would arrive in the morning completely knackered. By the end of the day he was beaming, glowing with energy. It was like everything was put into the work, because that was the joy; that’s what he loved to do. The words were just pouring out. It was like he was channeling.”

On why Heath didn’t want to take the role of the Joker according to agent Steven Alexander: Heath “was always hesitant to be in a summer blockbuster, with the dolls and action figures and everything else that comes with one of those movies. He was afraid it would define him and limit his choices.”

On his motivation to perform well according to Alexander: “He wasn’t motivated by money or stardom, but by the respect of his peers, and for people to walk out of a movie theater after they’d seen something that he’d worked on and say, ‘Wow, he really disappeared into that character.’ He was striving to become an ‘illusionist,’ as he called it, able to create characters that weren’t there.”

And now for the beautiful pictures that were taken back in 2000 when Heath appeared in Vanity Fair, some of them have been published, some not. They are all amazing.

Megan Fox Does GQ

Posted by taylor blue on September 15, 2008 | No Comments

Megan Fox is GQ magazine’s October 2008 cover girl. Megan seems sorta vain these days saying this was the only cover she approved of the many they had of her to chose from…WEIRD…Here are some highlights of the interview…

On not wanting to be famous right now: “I’ve done one movie. And it’s not a movie I want to stand on as far as acting ability goes. I mean—I’m not going to win an Oscar anytime soon. I’m not Meryl Streep.

On getting nervous: “Before I go onstage anywhere, I take a Xanax now.”

On hating gossip: “The other day, I said I eat a lot of cake, and that was the top story on Yahoo!”

On why we shouldn’t be so prude: “Sex is something that everyone does, so why can’t I talk about it?”

I don’t know what to say Megan…
