You all know that I, Willow Raine, LOVE American (ahem ADAM LAMBERT)Idol, and that I was sad, yet eventually okay, that Kris Allen had won.
However, I felt instant relief that Adam wouldn’t have to sing that HORRIBLY PAINFUL song “No Boundaries” written by Kara DioGuardi, and pity beyond words, that poor Kris had to. Nobody deserves that torture.
Thankfully, as reported by the New York Post
“THIS year’s roundly disliked “American Idol” victory anthem, “No Boundaries,” has been sent home.” AND ” was reportedly getting such a poor audience response during the concert that, without comment, Allen was told to find a new song to replace it.”
You can catch the article in it’s entirety HERE!
So, the punishment, and lyrical hell endured by Kris, has come to an end. If I were Kris, I would be having a party AND hosting a parade.

Ryan Seacrest, came from normal beginnings, just like the rest of us. He was born in Dunwoody, Georgia, and he may have actually invented the meaning of school spirit. Hosting the morning announcements at Dunwoody High School, staff writer with the school paper, a member of the model UN club and captain of the Swim Team “The Wet Wildcats”
By the time his childhood dream of being a DJ was brought to fruition, he was no longer “wet behind the ears” (Insert groan for horrible pun here).
After he graduated high school, Ryan went on to attend the University of Georgia in the fall of 1993,and began hosting his first radio show at a local Athens station. He left UGA at the ripe old age of 19, and moved to Hollywood to continue his broadcasting career.
It wouldn’t take him too long to realize his dreams, though, no worries. Put those tissues away! Fast forward, to 2002! (No we still had no flying cars, BUT it would, however, be the beginning of ALL Seacrest, all the time) Ryan accepted the position as co-host of the hit reality TV series American Idol with comedian Brian Dunkleman.
We don’t know where Brian went, poor guy. I do remember thinking, especially during Ryan’s diatribes that seem to go on over the span of SEVERAL eternities (HINT HINT RYAN, CEASE TALKING INCESSANTLY EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE. ‘TIS NOT CALLED RYAN SEACREST TALKS AND MAKES BAD JOKES IDOL), that Brian didn’t talk as much, and where is he now?
Where was I? Oh, yes, yes, the point at hand. Apparently someone, somewhere loves Ryan, at the Fox Network. He just signed a contract tying him to them for another three years, for a whopping $15 MILLION PER YEAR.
No need to rub your eyes, you read it right. $45 million dollars over the span of three years.
I talk. I talk incessantly. Admittedly my jokes are normally much wittier than his (though it may be the fault of his writers, we’ll pretend that’s the case). My question is, where is my $45 Million dollar contract,eh? Heck, I’d settle for a $45 dollar contract at this point. *Laughing*
And in the words I’d imagine Ryan would say “This is Ryan Seacrest, taking over the world one radio and television venue at a time. Seacrest OUT.”
I have but this to say. Good for you, Ryan. Good for you.

Why couldn’t I have had an Adam Lambert when I was growing up? I lived in a tiny, one horse, very hick, Kentucky town, and most people who lived there were very narrowminded and set in their ways. Still are. To this day when I go back home, it’s like I enter a time warp. I was definitely “odd girl out”,did not fit in any box they would attempt to shove me in, and I despised their labels.
I preach, constantly, vigilantly, that people should hold tight to their individuality, be proud of who they are, and not let ANYONE influence that. Adam Lambert and I seem to have that mentality in common.
In an interview with People he said:
“It’s a really, really cool thing,to be able to show people that you can be yourself, and you should be proud of yourself, and you should own who you are and what you’re about, and never make apologies for it.” (View the full article HERE)
He cites that he is a good role model for kids and young adults, I could not agree more if I wanted to.ANYONE who faces the world, full force, not backing down and has the courage to go on to say :
“Conforming is not cool, embracing who you are and what makes you different is actually what’s really cool … The kids that are different and out there and expressive and are bold with those choices, those are the people that grow up to be people we all want to hang out with, that become celebrities or become really successful in what they do because they believe in who they are.”
DESERVES TO BE CALLED A ROLE MODEL.
I was different. My friends were different. None of us are famous (YET), but if we had someone of Adam’s caliber, acceptance and mentality to look up to when we were younger, maybe our lives wouldn’t have been so hard, carving out that niche, learning to accept ourselves, may have been a little less difficult.
If my god daughter, or children I may ever have, choose to have a role model in the public eye, I PRAY that they’re as wonderful as Adam Lambert, because if that is their hero, I could rest assured, they are being guided right, by someone other than myself.
THANK YOU ADAM FOR BEING INCREDIBLE.

He “just didn’t win.” Adam Lambert does not choose to be known as the guy who lost the title of American Idol. I can really understand why, because to lose means that something is taken from you. Adam has gained exposure, fans, and to me, a sure career in ANY entertainment venue he chooses to pursue. Be it acting, or please God, singing.
However, after, even I had gotten past the fact that he didn’t walk away the winner of what I affectionately called “Adam Idol”, I still sign on to see the headlines about “voting upsets”.
Have you heard? Apparently AT&T provided people at two different Kris Allen parties a free phone, with text messaging. Then taught them how to send “Bulk messages”. In other words, they could send ten plus texts at a time to vote for Kris, where those of us who were dialing the phone (I myself dialed two phones, one to each ear thank you very much, FOX, AT&T and AI), could only get in one vote per say 30 seconds.
Adam’s loss is not what makes me so mad about all of this. What gets under my skin is that if they afforded that luxury to Kris fans in Arkansas, then WHY not give the “Lambert’s” the same treatment in California? Fair is fair right?
The OTHER thing that bothers me? Their statements. Really? Read this.
On Wednesday, Fox Broadcasting issued a statement (seen on The Hollywood Reporter) saying that:
“Fox and the producers of ‘American Idol’ are absolutely certain that the results of this competition are fair, accurate and verified. Kris Allen is, without a doubt, the American Idol. We have an independent third-party monitoring procedure in place to ensure the integrity of the voting process. In no way did any individuals unfairly influence the outcome of the competition.”
As if that wasn’t, douche enough, get a load of AT&T’s statement:
“countless parties were held,” and that “it’s quite a leap to suggest that a few individuals could have impacted the final results.”
Come on people at AT&T, can you NOT see how potentially HUNDREDS of people sending in MASS votes, could seriously impact the final results? Are you that delusional, or just refuse to admit that you have handed away your integrity for whatever reason?
Honestly, though, I (being the biggest Adam Lambert fan in North Carolina,at LEAST) KNOW they did him a favor. So, thank you FOX,IDOL and AT&T. When Adam Lambert becomes the success I know that he WILL, it will be you sitting there, in the floor crying, tears of regret. Not Adam.
Remember that.

I really wasn’t sure what direction this post would take, if I’m being honest, when I found out that Adam didn’t walk away with the “Title” of American Idol. I did figure that I would be writing it with a heavy heart, but as the initial shock has worn off, I find that I’m actually encouraged. I know, that’s kind of odd for such an Adamantly Loyal Lambert. Just take a walk with me for a moment if you will, and take into consideration what he did WIN, even if he didn’t walk away the 2009 American Idol. He got the exposure that he needed absolutely (though I feel eventually fame would have happened for him anyway), he opened so many minds, made so many think outside of a box that they had been living in for so long, possibly for their entire lives. Showed people the striking beauty of the moon, that had only ever seen the relentless light of the sun. Even if you weren’t a Lambert , your life was touched by him just by watching the show. Every week,  we welcomed him into our home, and watched his spectacular performances, every week he won over people that many thought impossible. For So long, as a writer, I had almost forgotten my passion, the reason that I take any chance I can to write, and just watching Adam brought so much of that back for me. You could almost feel his energy exuding from the television, there is nothing like watching him perform. It’s incomparable, and every single performance is etched permanently into my brain. (Not to mention saved on my DVR, but I digress). If we all had the passion, the zest, the talent, and yet showed the beautiful sides of our souls more often, like Adam Lambert, this world would be so inspirationally amazing. Though, I dare say, if we were all as great as he is, then we wouldn’t appreciate a flower amidst all of the weeds, would we?  No matter where the road through this life may lead him, I, for one, am willing to walk quietly with him. Unless I’m at a concert, and then, he’ll hear me, I assure you. *Laugh*
WillowRaine is definitely a Lambert for life.

Last night, as I stood, completely forgetting my phone was in my hand, much less to my ear, after the mind numbing announcement that Kris Allen was the American Idol, I still couldn’t help but smile to myself, at how humble Kris has remained throughout this competition.
He seemed very shocked to be the winner, I actually feel bad for him because of some of the candid shots I have seen of his surprised face as they announced him as such. You know though, at least he’ll have humorous reminders of what it felt like, years from now, for his grand kids to laugh at. *Laugh*
It is no secret that ADAM LAMBERT is our Adam Idol here at TenGossip, but we wish Kris Allen nothing but the best. We hope he has a very successful music career, and ALWAYS gets to do what he loves, because life is too short to do otherwise.
Way to go Kris.
