A New Alice In Wonderland Clip

Posted by taylor blue on February 20, 2010 | 2 Comments

I have been waiting for a preview of Alice In Wonderland to finally come out.  And now that I’ve seen one March 5th when it finally hits theaters. This clip Alice finds out what happens when she eats a cupcake and grows out of her clothes and needs some. We get to see the Red Queen in action too. I can see myself buying this when it comes to DVD and watching it over and over.

The Alice In Wonderland Super Bowl Commercial

I think this has to be the funniest Alice In Wonderland spot I have seen yet. I don’t think I’ve noticed the rabbit (or hare) throwing his cup at Alice exclaiming that she’s late for tea yet. I think I have watched that part a thousand times tonight. Johnny Depp was still the most perfect actor for the job. He said recently that this is a different kind of Alice than we have seen before.

“It doesn’t look like any ‘Alice in Wonderland’ that’s ever been before. It’s a completely new story – it’s Alice returning back to Wonderland. We took the combination of this classic story and new technology and pushed it into something like nothing you’ve ever seen before.”

It should be interesting to see how people receive it on March 5th.

New Alice In Wonderland Stills

The more and more I see of Alice In Wonderland the more I wish March 5th was here already. In the latest set of stills we get to see Anne Hathaway closer I’m interested to see how she is going to do in this movie.

I also found a better description of what the movie is about and now it’s coming clear to me. The traditional tale has been freshened with a blast of girl power, courtesy of writer Linda Woolverton (Beauty and the Beast). Alice, 17, attends a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to in front of hundreds of snooty society types. Off she runs, following a white rabbit into a hole and ending up in Wonderland, a place she visited 10 years before yet doesn’t remember.

This version sounds different from the other ones I have seen. I can’t wait.

Johnny Depp Covers GQ Shirtless

Posted by taylor blue on January 20, 2010 | No Comments

I am not sure what is up with these shirtless magazine covers today. Johnny Depp is the shirtless cover boy for the February 2010 issue of GQ. They are calling him the Most Stylish Man In The World. But with that cover I would say that he gets amazing points for that. He can appear shirtless and still be stylish. I don’t think many men can do that!

GQ explains why they picked him for the best of the best:

“Johnny Depp’s a unicorn—a really glamorous, one-of-a-kind eccentric. Usually guys try to fit in; they don’t want to get criticized. At any red-carpet event, there are going to be guys who look spiffy in their Prada or Armani tuxedos, but you wait for Johnny Depp, because he’s always going to look super-groovy and unconventional. He wears great man jewelry. He doesn’t shy away from color. He’s always peeking through his amazing hair. It doesn’t matter if Johnny Depp’s lying in a ditch—he’s always going to look incredible.”

And they are right. There is no one else that looks as good as him. Catch him next as the Mad Hatter in Alice In Wonderland.

The All-American Rejects Kick-Off 2010 with New Song For Alice In Wonderland Soundtrack

Posted by taylor blue on January 15, 2010 | No Comments

After closing out 2009 with their hit single “Gives You Hell” as the #1 most played song of the year, The All-American Rejects kick off 2010 with a brand new song for “Almost Alice,” the soon to be released CD from Buena Vista Records is inspired by the upcoming Disney Digital 3D film, ALICE IN WONDERLAND.

ALMOST ALICE, a collection of original songs based on some of the most charismatic characters in literary history, acts as a companion piece to the film’s score composed by Danny Elfman for the original motion picture soundtrack and will hit shelves March 2, 2010.

The Rejects’ new song, “The Poison,” is a cheeky take on Alice and her Mad Hatter.  “Being a self-proclaimed Mad Hatter, this is a song about how prissy little Alice can be poison for us all.  It was best for us both that she fell down that hole,” joked The All-American Rejects front man Tyson Ritter.
