I really wasn’t sure what direction this post would take, if I’m being honest, when I found out that Adam didn’t walk away with the “Title” of American Idol. I did figure that I would be writing it with a heavy heart, but as the initial shock has worn off, I find that I’m actually encouraged. I know, that’s kind of odd for such an Adamantly Loyal Lambert. Just take a walk with me for a moment if you will, and take into consideration what he did WIN, even if he didn’t walk away the 2009 American Idol. He got the exposure that he needed absolutely (though I feel eventually fame would have happened for him anyway), he opened so many minds, made so many think outside of a box that they had been living in for so long, possibly for their entire lives. Showed people the striking beauty of the moon, that had only ever seen the relentless light of the sun. Even if you weren’t a Lambert , your life was touched by him just by watching the show. Every week,  we welcomed him into our home, and watched his spectacular performances, every week he won over people that many thought impossible. For So long, as a writer, I had almost forgotten my passion, the reason that I take any chance I can to write, and just watching Adam brought so much of that back for me. You could almost feel his energy exuding from the television, there is nothing like watching him perform. It’s incomparable, and every single performance is etched permanently into my brain. (Not to mention saved on my DVR, but I digress). If we all had the passion, the zest, the talent, and yet showed the beautiful sides of our souls more often, like Adam Lambert, this world would be so inspirationally amazing. Though, I dare say, if we were all as great as he is, then we wouldn’t appreciate a flower amidst all of the weeds, would we?  No matter where the road through this life may lead him, I, for one, am willing to walk quietly with him. Unless I’m at a concert, and then, he’ll hear me, I assure you. *Laugh*
Last night, as I stood, completely forgetting my phone was in my hand, much less to my ear, after the mind numbing announcement that Kris Allen was the American Idol, I still couldn’t help but smile to myself, at how humble Kris has remained throughout this competition.
He seemed very shocked to be the winner, I actually feel bad for him because of some of the candid shots I have seen of his surprised face as they announced him as such. You know though, at least he’ll have humorous reminders of what it felt like, years from now, for his grand kids to laugh at. *Laugh*
It is no secret that ADAM LAMBERT is our Adam Idol here at TenGossip, but we wish Kris Allen nothing but the best. We hope he has a very successful music career, and ALWAYS gets to do what he loves, because life is too short to do otherwise.
Way to go Kris.
It’s really sad that we live in a time where love, no matter what it’s source, should have to be defined, but unfortunately it’s true.
I, adore Michael Sarver I think he’s simply sweet as pie, and so of course I have him on myspace. I signed on some time late last night to see that his status was this: “Just want to say to those offended I’m sorry…” it was a little longer, but you get the point, and his mood was bummed. So, of course, I was, in my sleep deprived state, curious as to what could take the heart warming smile off of his face. It didn’t take me long to find out, that it was, in my opinion all a misunderstanding, a mistake.
We all say things that we don’t mean, they come out wrong, if you watch the video without fangs bared, and hissing, you will see that Danny Gokey was already unable to form a complete valid sentence because he was probably so freaking tired. Do you have any idea how long those rehearsals last? WOW.
I know when I’m sleep deprived, as I so often am, I could probably not even tell you my name correctly at times. Does that mean I’m not who it says on my birth certificate? No. *Laugh* It simply means, my mouth outran my brain (in my case it doesn’t always take much).
You guys KNOW my stance on gay marriage, you guys KNOW my love for Adam Lambert. I do NOT believe that any of it was said out of malice, nor do I believe they are homophobic or hate homosexuals. You can’t convince me of that. Danny caught himself before he even got out one quarter of the word “right” realizing that he should NOT have said that, and Michael’s statement about “In a GODLY way” I took to mean, that he loves him like a brother. Everyone is persecuting them for something I feel was taken out of context, simply because we live in a world where they feel they had to specify the definition of their love for one another. Had they NOT said it that way, today’s news would have been filled with “Danny Gokey and Michael Sarver – Lovers?” and you know it. That is what is really sad. They can’t win for losing.
Well, for what it’s worth fellas, I stand behind you (as do countless others) in knowing A.) You didn’t mean any harm and B.) You love each other like brothers. (Hint, next time you maaaaay want to say it that way, just sayin’. Gotta keep you out of the boiling water so many was so willing to toss you into. Doesn’t seem like it would feel too good being there. lol)
