Robert Pattinson was seen at LAX airport taking off for a flight yesterday. He looked like he was happy and in high spirits. I love seeing this side of Rob!

During his weekend in Comic-Con he was on a panel for New Moon with director, Chris Weitz, they were asking questions about how all the actors were like their characters. Well when it got to Rob it wasn’t answered exactly the way everyone hoped.

Rob: (He says to Chris Weitz) “How am I like my character?”

Chris: “I noticed that you’re very cold to the touch and have skin like marble and that you glow like a diamond when the sun hits.”

Rob: “I look a bit like him (Edward Cullen.)

It’s nice to know that both Rob and Chris have a sense of humor. I bet Chris was a load of fun to work with, I have heard so many good things about him and the way he directed.

It’s New Moon panel day at Comic Con today in San Diego. I have been hearing endlessly about it on Twitter and now finally I think I have enough information to post. I was watching them post some things on Twitter about what was going on at the panel and here are some of the interesting things I noted.

-Kristen Stewart never rode on the motorcycle at all.,  (Darn, because that’s what I wanted to see.)

-Taylor Lautner did as many stunts as he was allowed.

-Chris Weitz said that Taylor did all the work while Robert Pattinson stood around the set and looked good. (Something like that was said.)

-They asked them what their favorite scene in Eclipse that they are looking forward to filming and they answered like this: Taylor answered the tent scene, Kristen said getting and being pregnant and Robert said the c-section and when she gives birth.

-Rob also said he would do another open mic night because it’s good for the soul.

ET also aired a clip of the highlights from the panel.

I found this new still yesterday of Bella (Kristen Stewart),  & Alice (Ashley Greene) with Jacob (Taylor Lautner) in the background on the set of New Moon. Director, Chris Weitz is also in the picture. I didn’t realize that there was directions on the floor of the set! (You can see a bigger version of the picture below.)

Eclipse is set to start filming next month. I can’t wait to see the pictures from the set of that movie too.

Most people know that the Twilight franchise has thrived because of,  Bella and Edward. But in the New Moon movie the werewolves are introduced. I was really excited to see how hot these werewolves are going to be. In this picture there is,  Paul (Alex Meraz), Sam (Chaske Spencer), Jared (Bronson Pelletier) and Embry (Kiowa Gordon).

I thought it was interesting to note that the requirement of this acting gig is that they had to stand being shirtless in the Vancouver weather. I think that the Vancouver is way warmer than it is here in Alberta a province over. (As I say this it’s snowing out so bad I can’t see the building next to me.) But still the director sympathizes with the actors…

“It’s not pleasant for the actors,” says director Chris Weitz. “But they have all been good-natured. They show up on location in drenching, cold rain, and I say, ‘OK, off with the robes.’ “

I think though that the rain would be harder to work in then the snow…and it’s constantly raining in Vancouver. Poor guys. I’m sure the girls will jump in and help warm you up.

All you Taylor Lautner fans can breathe a sigh of relief. It was announced today that Taylor will be returning as Jacob Black in the next Twilight movie, New Moon. I’m glad to hear it because I hate in sequels when they change characters and you have to pretend that it’s the same person. Besides Taylor will rock at this larger part that Jacob plays.

[Chris] Weitz (the director),  noted there has been speculation about whether Lautner could portray the character who goes through many changes physically, including growing taller and bulkier and aging 10 years. The 16-year-old Lautner has been spending time in the gym, trying to add 19 pounds of muscle.

Weitz added that Lautner is “emotionally right” for the part.

Taylor joins cast mates Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in the movie. New Moon is set for release on November 20, 2009.
