Two more covers have been released for the December 2009 issue of O magazine. I think that I would be very happy if it was Ellen Degeneres and Oprah every month. (Here are the other two that were previously released.)
Oprah on the choice of Ellen for the cover: “Ellen DeGeneres is a woman who can make things happen. When she decided she wanted to be on the cover of O, she pulled out all the stops. It worked—for only the second time in O history, I’m sharing the cover with a woman I adore.”
On why she came out: “Just to say the words was so huge for me. You know, people say, ‘Why do you have to tell everybody, who cares, and why do you have to announce it?’ It’s because it’s your truth and the truth shall set you free.”
On wife Portia DeRossi: “Well, we’re perfect for each other. She is so beautiful and so smart and so funny, and with her, I have that sense of ‘I’m done now.’ I’m settled. I know that part of my life is taken care of. I’ve got love. I’ve got someone who will be with me till the day I die.”
On getting excited for American Idol: “They came to me, and it was a total surprise. I like to try new things because I get bored so easily. And I like the show, so I thought it was a great idea.”
No, Robert honey, we didn’t forget your birthday. That may as well have been, and probably was, a national Holiday for almost every woman in existence. We did, however, want to stand out, to be fashionably late. And since you read my posts,Robert and are uber familiar with my work (Okay so I feed my delusions *laugh*) you know we’re going to do this Willow Raine style, and be completely random and weird.
So first, we hope you had a great Birthday celebration,there in Vancouver with all your fellow New Moon cast members and friends. I wish I could have been there, the pictures look like you were having a blast. We wish you many more Birthdays, but I chose to wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS and give you two video gifts that I know will touch your heart. And last, but certainly not least. A Van Morrison song, because he’s one of your favorite artists. So soulful, raw, pure, and amazing. I had to search to find it, but you’re more than worth it.
I’d love to hear you play and sing THAT song, it’s among one of my absolute Van Morrison favorites.

Merry Christmas! No, I haven’t lost what little mind I have, I assure you. *Laugh* Actually, quite to the contrary. I thought, that since we cover so many stories about celebrities from what they wear, to who they’re dating, that I’d pick one celeb a day and post about their charity work. Let you see a side to them that is compassionate, the side that the paparazzi forget when they’re bombarding them, or the negative press fails to mention when they’re dissing them. Today’s post is for none other than ZAC EFRON.
I have to be honest here, when I read this, I was really impressed with him, so much so it almost brought tears to my eyes.
On December 19,2008 (Hence the Merry Christmas comment) Zac paid a visit to Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA and gave away $10,000 worth in toys alone. While the gifts were impressive, and thoughtful, what really touched my heart was that he spent time signing autographs and posing for pictures with staff and patients. It was cited that he took the time out to bond with each of the patients and their families. See, it isn’t always the money that counts, though the financial support is much appreciated of course. It’s the fact that even though most tend to forget it, celebrities aren’t and should be defined by what role they play in a movie, or what song they sing, they should be defined by what impact they make on the world. Zac Efron is making a positive impact, and at 21 years old, that is extremely impressive and amazing.
I like John Mayer, I admit it. But when I heard this cover of Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas I swooned! John sang it at the Blythedale Childrens Hospital on December 22. I know that I would prefer listening to this one any day. Way to go John!
Mark Wahlberg took his daughter, Ella, to a basketball game on Christmas Day. What a special treat. The L.A. Lakers were playing against the Boston Celtics. And the Lakers of course won. It’s so cute to see a dad out with his daughter!

As y’all recover from being spoiled this Christmas, I thought I would spoil you with this picture of a new promo out of the guys, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles. I can’t wait for January to get here so we can see the new shows. It should be a great second half of the season. And I hope we get to see some more action in the Impala if you know what I mean.
