The Best Years: The Complete First Season is available on DVD now. It’s just in time for fans are eagerly awaiting the second season premiering in the Spring of 2009. This DVD debut of The Best Years: The Complete First Season in a fully-loaded 4-disc set, containing all 13 season one episodes plus over 70 minutes of exclusive extras. Packed with behind-the-scenes footage, cast interviews and more.
I watched this series and I have to say I am addicted now. It is the way I hope Gossip Girl will be next year. I really want to see what happens in the second season. It takes place in a college and revolves around the things that happen while you are there. (I really wish that I went to college!)
The Best Years follows Samantha Best (Charity Shea, Alpha Dog) as she starts her freshman year at the prestigious Charles University in Boston. Samantha has been shuffled through the foster care system her entire life and is finally looking forward to a future of new opportunities and friendships. She’ll have to contend with the ins and outs of college and mingle with a new world of “frenemies†as she struggles to find her own identity. Along the way she will meet new roommate Kathryn Klarner, (Jennifer Miller, Lucky Number Slevin), a rich socialite from one of the most prominent families in the mid-west; Dawn Vargas (Athena Karkanis, Saw IV), a child actor who has traded in Hollywood for college; and Devon Sylver (Brandon Jay McLaren, She’s the Man), a fellow scholarship recipient and star basketball player who has caught her eye. With her new dysfunctional family and a part-time job at Boston’s hot spot, Colony, Samantha must face the excitement and pressures of college life. It’s going to be a year to remember.
And with a twist of fate Samantha has to deal with a lot right away. How will it all turn out for her? I need to find out in the second season.
You can order the DVD here.

I have to admit this to everyone, Nickelback is one of my favorite groups ever. They are from the province I live in (Alberta) and I quite enjoy their music. I don’t know why Canada is so down on them, they even have radio stations that advertise that they don’t play Nickelback on their station. I think that they rock. I could literally listen to their song How You Remind Me over and over all day and not get bored.
March 10th the Nickelback Live at Sturgis (totally uncensored, and I mean nudity here!) DVD was released. This high definition DVD was filmed in front of 35,000 fans at the world-famous Rockin’ the Rally show in Sturgis, South Dakota in 2006, and is now being offered with unedited content as well as bonus features that include a behind-the-scenes featurette and the Rockstar music video.
The track list is as follows…Animals, Woke Up This Morning, Photograph, Because Of You, Far Away, Never Again, Savin’ Me, Someday, Side Of A Bullet, How You Remind Me, Too Bad and Figured You Out.
I really enjoyed watching this concert. I have always wanted to see them live and never got a chance to see them. And I can’t get over how blue Chad Kroeger’s eyes are!

Prom Queen is the “studio†original serialized drama conceived specifically for the internet, it was created by Michael Eisner, former CEO of Disney. Prom Queen: Season One and Prom Queen: Summer Heat comprises of all 95 original episodes tied together in two feature presentations.
When I started watching the DVD I couldn’t believe how fast I got into the characters. Each episode is two minutes max. So if you watch the whole 95 episodes it would be like watching a movie. The plot moves fast and when you see the text message, “U R going to kill the Prom Queen” you want to watch more.
Here is a quick rundown of the series…
Every young girl grows up wanting to be Prom Queen. And for the students of Edward Adams High, it’s not only a tradition but an ideology—and for some, an obsession. Little do they know that there lurks a secret that threatens to unravel the institution forever.
As usual, senior year is full of characters—some hot, some not—who all have their eyes turned toward Prom, the night when dreams come true. Sweethearts will split apart, friendships will be tested, hearts will be broken . . . lucky for them, summer is just around the corner.
Still reeling from Prom Night, with high school finally behind them, the former classmates are certainly due for a vacation. And what better place to escape to than Mexico? Catch up with the former students of Edward Adams High in Prom Queen’s next chapter, Summer Heat, as they embark on a summer of fun, adventure and mystery. Watch as relationships ignite, pasts flare up and the mystery continues to blaze in Summer Heat.
You can see streaming video of the trailer and a clip here. There is bonus features with the DVD including new cast interviews, never-before-seen gag reel, commentary from creators and cast, video blogs, and a photo gallery. You can buy the DVD here.
I am also giving away two copies of Prom Queen. Here are the rules of the contest (insert broadcasting voice here): The contest is open to people in the USA and Canada. You must have a valid email or I can’t contact you to say you have won. I will not use your email for any other reason besides contacting you if you are a winner. I have TWO copies to give away. You have until Thanksgiving 2008 to get your answers in. Leave all answers in the comments below with your email address. And I will not except P.O. Boxes for addresses.
Now, for the question, what was your favorite part of prom, or if you haven’t went yet, what will be your favorite part?
UPDATE: Contest is now closed and winners have been notified.
