Ellen Degeneres is a busy lady and now with the next couple of years with American Idol and now signing on for another three seasons (bringing the show to 2014 now) she is not going to be slowing down any time soon. Ellen looked like the one that needed to always be doing something and now she will get to.
“I’m so excited to sign on for three more years at NBC. They were the ones that believed in my show from day one. So, I’m thrilled to know I’ll be here till at least 2014. Things will be a lot different by then. I won’t be dancing over my coffee table anymore. Through the magic of 3-D, I’ll be dancing over yours.”
I know that I can’t wait to see what else she has in store. Ellen is my favorite talk show of all of them.
Tomorrow, American Idol will change…it is the first episode that Ellen Degeneres is going to be in. I know that I will be tuning in to see how amazing she does because she will be adding a whole new dynamic to the whole thing.
I would love to know how many more (or less) people will be tuning in because of her appearance on the show.
I always get excited when I find MMC (The New Mickey Mouse Club) alumni doing things. As you know Justin Timberlake, Keri Russell, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Ryan Gosling, and JC Chasez were all on the show too. (My favorite of the bunch Tony Lucca also has a singing career too!) Now if I haven’t confused you enough I’m going to introduce Matt Morris to the mix. He was just signed onto Justin’s record label, Tennman Records. And from what I have seen of Matt he will go far. Who are we to doubt Justin?
Matt was on the Ellen Degeneres Show and even did one song with Justin. It just seems so surreal sometimes to see these MMC guys grown up. It means that I grew up too. Something I hate to admit.
Both Ellen Degeneres and Simon Cowell are on the cover of this weeks Entertainment Weekly. It seems that everyone is buzzing because the first pictures of Ellen on the show were released the other day. Ellen has reportedly signed a five year contract with American Idol. I am super impressed because FOX is finally smart! I know that I am more apt to watch the show now that she’s on it. She will add a whole different flavor to it. There are rumors that Simon’s contract is up after this season and he might go. Well Ellen has a solution to that.
Degeneres: “If Simon goes, I go!”
Cowell: [Laughs] “Oh, Ellen!”
DeGeneres: “I will not be there without Simon.”
What does Simon say about all this?
“That’s quite a tricky situation you’ve put me into! I think right now we have to concentrate on the next season and just get through that and worry about everything else afterwards.”
I bet Ellen talks him into staying. If anyone could it would be her.
Ellen Degeneres joins the rest of the American Idol crew in February and before then we get to see the first promo pictures of her from the show. I’m not loving the whole over airbrushed look. Ellen looks great normally I don’t understand why they needed to overdo it.
The second picture released was of the whole crew, Simon Cowell, Kara DioGuardi, Randy Jackson and Ryan Seacrest. It looks all copy and pasted together. I am disappointed in FOX, I was expecting so much more.
