Skillet have just released the title track off their forthcoming album, Rise, which is available June 25th. The song “Rise” is part of the band’s first ever concept album, as singer John Cooper explains, “The narrative idea happened after we had 10 or 11 of the songs chosen. As we recorded them, we started to realize that there was something going on – that the album was really telling a story. Realizing that, I knew we needed to make it as powerful as we could.”
The band are also offering their die-hard fans the chance to hang out with them on tour via the “Road to Rise VIP Experience.” For more info check out this video here.
Skillet will also be hitting the road this Summer on the Festival Circuit. Be sure to catch them at Rock on the Range, Alive, Creation East, and Rock the Park this summer.
Skillet have just released “Sick of It”, the first single off of their forthcoming album, RISE, available June 25th via Atlantic/Word. “Sick of It” picks up where the band left off on 2009′s highly successful Awake, but elevates them to the next level.

To celebrate the release of the single, the band just wrapped up hosting an Instagram photo contest where fans submitted photos of what they are “sick of.” A lyric video was made from fan’s submissions and can be seen here.

The new poster for The Last Exorcism Part II has been released. We all know that it’s being produced by Eli Roth so I’ll want to watch it. I just think that Eli’s mind is warped, probably like mine.
The synopsis goes like this: Continuing where the first film left off, Nell Sweetzer (Ashley Bell) is found terrified and alone in rural Louisiana. Back in the relative safety of New Orleans, Nell realizes that she can’t remember entire portions of the previous months only that she is the last surviving member of her family. Just as Nell begins the difficult process of starting a new life, the evil force that once possessed her is back with other, unimaginably horrific plans that mean her last exorcism was just the beginning.
