Being a movie star has to be fun sometimes, I mean look at Johnny Depp on the set of The Tourist today. He got to go to work in his pajamas and then even work in them too. I know I always say I get to work in my pajamas too but Johnny’s work sounds like so much more fun.

I was curious about what this movie might be about and finally they have a short synopsis up at IMDb. The movie revolves around Frank (Depp), an American tourist visiting Italy to mend a broken heart. Elise is an extraordinary woman who deliberately crosses his path. It doesn’t say who Elise is yet so we will have to wait for more details. Unless it’s supposed to be Cara, Angelina Jolie’s character’s name is that. See it’s a bit foggy yet but at least we get an idea.

I love all the pictures that are coming from the movie, The Tourist. Johnny Depp was shot today in Venice, Italy giving his best bad boy sultry look. Actually, I’m not sure if he’s playing a bad boy or not. All I know is that he’s very beautiful. Angelina Jolie is also in this movie set for a 2011 release.

I looked it up on the IMDb site and not much is known about it. This is what they say, “An American tourist is used by an Interpol agent in an attempt to flush out a criminal with whom she once had an affair.”

Now don’t get me wrong. I am not trying to make fun of Nicole Richie because she is actually cool…but when I saw her in these sunglasses I was instantly reminded of Willy Wonka. My son has been watching that movie a lot lately. And I have to admit that Johnny Depp does a great job of it. Nicole has been busy promoting her new fashion line, Winter Kate, and has been everywhere in the world I swear.

So were Nicole and Willy Wonka separated at birth?

I think this has to be the funniest Alice In Wonderland spot I have seen yet. I don’t think I’ve noticed the rabbit (or hare) throwing his cup at Alice exclaiming that she’s late for tea yet. I think I have watched that part a thousand times tonight. Johnny Depp was still the most perfect actor for the job. He said recently that this is a different kind of Alice than we have seen before.

“It doesn’t look like any ‘Alice in Wonderland’ that’s ever been before. It’s a completely new story – it’s Alice returning back to Wonderland. We took the combination of this classic story and new technology and pushed it into something like nothing you’ve ever seen before.”

It should be interesting to see how people receive it on March 5th.

I am not sure what is up with these shirtless magazine covers today. Johnny Depp is the shirtless cover boy for the February 2010 issue of GQ. They are calling him the Most Stylish Man In The World. But with that cover I would say that he gets amazing points for that. He can appear shirtless and still be stylish. I don’t think many men can do that!

GQ explains why they picked him for the best of the best:

“Johnny Depp’s a unicorn—a really glamorous, one-of-a-kind eccentric. Usually guys try to fit in; they don’t want to get criticized. At any red-carpet event, there are going to be guys who look spiffy in their Prada or Armani tuxedos, but you wait for Johnny Depp, because he’s always going to look super-groovy and unconventional. He wears great man jewelry. He doesn’t shy away from color. He’s always peeking through his amazing hair. It doesn’t matter if Johnny Depp’s lying in a ditch—he’s always going to look incredible.”

And they are right. There is no one else that looks as good as him. Catch him next as the Mad Hatter in Alice In Wonderland.

Every time a new Alice In Wonderland trailer comes out we get to see more and more of what it’s about. This time this one shows us a good chunk of the story line.

Alice is gets proposed to and she needs time to think. So she runs away and falls in a hole. She wakes up in Wonderland and it looks like she isn’t sure where she is but, the Mad Hatter says to her, “You are back.” He quickly fills her in on what has been happening since she’s gone.

So it is definitely the story of what happens when she comes back. It hits theaters March 5th, 2010. And it’s probably going to be in 3D, it’s the way of the world now.

New stills from the Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus have come out. They show Heath Ledger, Colin Farrell and Jude Law all in the movie. And I had got a comment today on the release date. The movie will be in select theaters on December 25th and then opens nation-wide on January 8th.

The newest trailer for Alice In Wonderland was released today. I was surprised when I saw it because it sounds like the Mad Hatter will be at the center of the movie. That is fine of course because the Mad Hatter is Johnny Depp. I love how we get a closer look at the Red Queen and the White Queen. March 5, 2010 can’t come fast enough.

Johnny Depp has been taking magazine covers by storm. First, he’s on the cover of People’s Sexiest Man Alive issue and now he’s on Entertainment Weekly’s Best of the Decade. I can see how he won the Best of the Decade…there are so many things he has done that should be taken note of.

In the last ten years Johnny has done roughly 21 movies. I guess you can’t call him lazy. Some of my favorites from the last 10 years? Pirates of the Caribbean, Sleepy Hollow and Charlie and The Chocolate Factory.  Johnny has stayed humble through it all. That’s what is so amazing about him.

By now everyone has heard that Johnny Depp is the Sexiest Man Alive. There were good reasons why he was picked too. Like take for instance his role as The Mad Hatter in Alice In Wonderland. He’s going to blow a lid off that role.  I wish March 5th, 2010 would get here quicker.

And you haven’t heard me say it before…Tim Burton is a genius.
