My cable box has been bad since September and every time I would go to record a show the cable box decided it was dead. They replaced it with a new one but by that time it was too late. I was already too far behind to catch up again. So one day I will have to watch the whole season back to back.

But now to the good news, Fringe has been renewed for another season. That would be season 3. I am so happy about that! I know that there has been some really neat story developments. I read about them of course but just in case you aren’t caught up like me I won’t say.  Maybe it will make up for the loss of Lost next season. Something I will need!

The show comes back from hiatus on April 1st with new episodes.

Diane Kruger is so bright and flirty on the April 2010 cover of Marie Claire. I have liked Diane since I saw her on National Treasure and she  has a very hot boyfriend, Joshua Jackson. You can’t hate her for that! Here are highlights from the interview:

On getting married again: No, I don’t think so. Because I’ve realized commitment is important and no matter what paper you’re going to sign, if that commitment ceases to be there you’ll get out of the marriage anyway. You know, I might get married at 50 or 60, when it actually means something to say ‘for the rest of my life’.

On what Brad Pit was like to work with: On set he’s just like everybody else. He’s super-nice. Professional and committed. He attended every read-through, every rehearsal. It wasn’t like, ‘Brad Pitt’s going to show up.’ Quentin doesn’t care who you are or what you’ve done before. He’s about the work.

On Quentin Tarantino’s foot fetish: When I first got the job, some German guy interviewed me and said, ‘So do you have a foot scene?’ I was like, ‘Actually, I do. Why?’ Tarantino. Foot fetish. Blah, blah. So the day comes and I walk on set and I’m like [to Tarantino], ‘Hey! [Winks.] Today’s the foot scene. Are you excited?’ And he was like, ‘It’s not true!’ But then he certainly spent more time filming my foot than my face, so I don’t know. But I definitely think I have cuter feet than Uma Thurman!

I have to admit that 20o9 started off great in my TV watching. I was able to keep up and then about when the new season’s started in September my cable box started messing up and left me behind on a lot of shows. I feel kind of ripped off about the whole situation. But I still was able to claim some of my favorites…okay a lot of my favorites.

First I have to talk about the break-out show of this season, Vampire Diaries. I hyped up the show before it started. I loved Ian Somerhalder in it from the first moment. But nothing compared to when I actually saw it. I was instantly addicted. And I wanted to rewatch the episode. I am not into really rewatching an episode unless you are a certain kind of show so I was happy to see that I felt that way about this show. Now I can’t wait for it come back.

Here are my other favorite shows of 2009:

How I Met Your Mother: I was late on starting to watch this one. Neil Patrick Harris is a genius. He makes me laugh so hard. He should have the show named after just him. I AM BARNEY.

The Big Bang Theory: I was introduced this show and it wasn’t something I thought I would like but I did! I have watched it every Monday since. It’s bittersweet seeing Kaley Cuoco in another show. I won’t every forget her in 8 Simple Rules.

Lost: I am still so sad that this show is ending this season. Maybe I’ll get some of my questions answered before the show disappears? Ian Somerhalder will be returning for some scenes so I’ll be waiting for that. But that whole Sawyer/Juliet thing breaks my heart.

Supernatural: Of course Supernatural makes my list. I have been a hardcore fan of this show since the beginning. It’s ending this season so I have been delaying watching all the episodes.

Fringe: There is nothing bad I can ever say about this show. It came from the mind of J.J. Abrams and we all know how amazing his shows are. The addition to Joshua Jackson to the show was the best choice. And I love how Peter is always wanting Olivia but Olivia always seems so oblivious to it all.

Chuck: I was so sad when they said last season was going to be the last because of the ratings. I can’t understand how everyone isn’t watching that show. It’s one of my favorites by far. Okay, I have a tiny crush on Zachary Levi but that’s understandable right? He plays a geeky spy that is every girls dream.

Gossip Girl: This show has been a favorite of mine from the beginning too. And I write at least one post a day about it. There’s something about living vicariously thought these high school kids. You know that we all wished we were a Blair or a Serena growing up. I know that I grew up in some hick school that was on 100 acres of nothing.

Ghost Whisperer: Last season was the best season ever of the show. When Mel was trying to get Jim back. When Jim finally realized who he was I bawled so bad. Sobbing, crying, I was so happy. They really are meant to be together. It was different but they did such a good job.

Some new gems that I am behind on but I intend to fully catch up on.

Big Love: The premise may be complicated. A polygamist family that tries to live in the main stream. I didn’t agree with the show but after watching the first episode I was hooked. I am only on the first season but I am a huge supporter of the show.

Sons of Anarchy: I have to admit that I didn’t know if I would like a show about motorcycles and gangs. I loved the tattoo part though. But within the first ten minutes I was hooked. And with Charlie Hunnam and Katey Sagal playing the best characters nothing can go wrong.

P.S. As I was tagging this post I stumbled on ER. The show ended last season and I still feel lost on my Thursday nights without it. I mean they brought Shane West back and I was really beginning to like David Lyons. I would loved to have seen what would have happened if it went one more year. But since it had been around pretty much my whole life I had to let go.

I was so upset today going to my DVD player and seeing that my cable box messed up and I missed every one of my Thursday shows. It included the amazing episode last night that I’ve heard so many good things about.

Next weeks episode is called, Momentum Deferred, and it goes like this: Recuperating from the traumatic and alarming meeting with Massive Dynamic founder William Bell (guest star Leonard,  Nimoy), Agent Dunham consumes a powerful “fringe” concoction that Dr. Bishop prescribes to stimulate her memory. Meanwhile, the Fringe Division investigates a series of robbery cases that are tied to shape-shifting. As clues are tracked and memories are jogged, another woman experimented on by Dr. Bishop is introduced and a flashback reveals more about Olivia’s visit to the alternate reality.

The second season of Fringe has finally arrived. I hate that it’s on Thursday night with my other favorite shows but I have channels in all time zones I will be able to watch all the shows I need to.

The third episode of the season is called, Fracture, and it goes something like this: Peter, Walter, Olivia and Broyles pursue a strange and deadly occurrence in Philadelphia where a bomb blew up inside a train station but left no trace of any explosive device. The perplexing and unexplained set of circumstances returns Walter to the lab to closely examine the human remains where he uncovers an unlikely energy source that triggered the explosion. With the explosive threat of more bombs and links to a classified military project, the intense investigation leads Olivia and Peter to Iraq.

The Fringe season premiere is tomorrow night. I can’t wait for all my answers to be answered. But if,  you can’t wait you can watch the first episode of the season in fast forward. I only got through about 15 seconds before I didn’t want to know any more. So go ahead if you want to see it…just don’t tell me how it goes. I’ll wait until tomorrow night.

It’s unbelievable how they keep pumping out these episode spoilers. Fringe’s second episode of the season is called Night Of Desirable Objects. The Fringe team travels to Pennsylvania to investigate an underground tunnel full of human remains. Meanwhile, Walter experiments using frogs to travel between realities.

I am going to love Walter (John Noble),  this upcoming season. I have always got a kick out of him and his relationship with his son, Peter (Joshua Jackson).

Fringe has an awesome spread in this week’s Fall TV Preview issue of Entertainment Weekly. I was happy to get my hands on the scans since I won’t get my issue in the mail until next week (and my mailman will fold the heck out of it and wreck it). I could only hope that Joshua Jackson and Anna Torv’s characters could get together. But I don’t think that will ever happen.

If you haven’t seen the first season I would go get the DVD of it that’s out now. I know I enjoyed every episode after I got over the creepy factor. But I loved how a TV show could make me scared. The second season premieres on September 17th.

Now that Fringe Season 1 is now in stores we can watch the season over and really figure out what all the clues were. Or we can use it to hold us over until the Season Premiere on September 14.

Fringe was one of those shows last season that I couldn’t get enough of, sometimes it freaked me out and grossed me out that I thought there was no way I could continue. I remember having discussions with my friend, Cheaty, about how horrible the show was. And then some how along the way it grabbed me and I couldn’t let it go. Now, I’m addicted to the show.

So now we come to the second season. I have been doing research, yes, I can depend on myself to do this sometimes. If not I call on WillowRaine (who is awesome at that by the way) and I found out that it was indeed the World Trade Center that we see at the season finale. (SPOILER SPOILER In that alternative world the White House was the one that was hit not the World Trade Center.)

I saw these stills from the first episode of season 2. I don’t see Olivia anywhere. I wonder if they still have her in the alternative world for that show. But I am sure with Walter’s sense of humor, everything will seem right with the world.
