This new trailer for The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus looks different from the UK version I posted back in August. I like this one better. Again I am still waiting to hear the official US release date.
Also seven new French posters were released for the movie too. I am loving the Heath Ledger version.
Finally, we get to see what the movie poster for The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus will look like. (This is the UK version of it.) The movie stars Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp, Christopher Plummer, Colin Farrell, and Jude Law to name a few. There hasn’t been an official release date for the States yet. I can’t say enough how excited I am to see this movie. People that know me know that Heath is a very important person in my life as I talk about him often. I can’t wait to see his last movie up on the big screen.
A bigger picture of the movie trailer is below plus a close up of Heath.
I didn’t sleep very good last night, I was up tossing and turning like I have been doing alot. I go to my reader like I usually do every morning and I see the first trailer for Heath Ledger’s last movie, The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus. (I have to admit that I cried watching the trailer.) I have still been trying to find a US release date but there isn’t one yet. It gets released in the UK in October.
The trailer is stunning, I know you will have to watch it a couple of times to really take in everything. You also get to see Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law in the roles that they took so that they could finish the film. I am still crying thinking about how they did that. (And seeing Heath laughing and acting again also did it for me too.)
It should be interesting to see how many variations of this trailer will be as it comes out all over the world.
Robert Pattinson did an interview for Interview magazine but really I’m not sure what was said because I was too distracted by this hot mess of a picture. I have never been into the messy type but Robert does this look with grace. I don’t think anyone else could get away with it like he does.
Here are some of the highlights in the interview:
On his younger ’struggling’ years: “We [Rob and friend, Tom Sturridge] spent the -better part of a year just getting drunk every night. I don’t know if that counts as ‘struggling.’ ”
On being called the next Jude Law: “I don’t really see the similarity.”
On being in Twilight: “It’s funny, because teenage girls would say, ‘Oh, my God, you’re Cedric!’ It switched in a week to ‘Oh, my God, it’s Edward!’ Allegiances change so freely in the teen-girl world.”
Everyone knows my heart belongs to Heath Ledger. And I have been following his last movie with vigor. Tonight, I was just off to bed when I saw these four new pictures from the last movie he was in, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. The movie will finally be debuting at the Cannes Film Festival in a couple of weeks. I would die to be one of the people that gets to see it first.
Here are four new stills from the movie. Christopher Plummer plays Doctor Parnassus. And the costume he is in below looks amazing. The effects in this movie are stunning. But let’s hope it’s not too confusing with Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law taking over Heath’s role.
I found out more about the story line. Dr. Parnassus, is man who runs a traveling sideshow with his daughter, a young barker, and a sidekick, played by Verne Troyer. Tom Waits plays the Devil, with whom Parnassus makes a Faustian bargain, and Ledger’s character joins the troupe after they find him hanging from his neck under a London bridge. (And now I understand these pictures from the set.)
It’s not a secret that I am a huge fan of Heath Ledger’s. And to see that The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is finally in post production makes me happy with glee! This teaser trailer shows us what an amazing movie we can expect. Let’s hope the movie gets to us in early 2009!
