To celebrate the release of their latest album Smoke & Mirrors on Tuesday, March 2nd, Lifehouse will be hosting a special release day concert and CD signing at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York City’s Times Square as part of their March on Stage live music series.  Tickets are only $10, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Musicians on Call, a non-profit organization that brings live and recorded music to patients in healthcare facilities. For more information and to purchase tickets visit Ticketmaster.com.  After the release day show, Lifehouse will kick off a nationwide tour with Daughtry and Cavo starting March 18.

For a chance to hear the album before its release, the band is premiering Smoke & Mirrors in full on their official MySpace page this Saturday, February 27th.  That same day at 4 pm EST, Lifehouse will host a live chat on UStream.com to provide a track-by-track commentary on their new album, and afterward will answer questions from fans.

Smoke & Mirrors is still available for pre-order through the band’s official website, LifehouseMusic.com, in both standard and deluxe editions.    Both versions come with a download of two live tracks, while the deluxe edition includes a second disc with bonus material.

I’m not sure how I missed this but Alex O’Loughlin was at the 2009 Legacy Awards last night. He was also at a live chat today that I got to go to. I have the transcript and I have yet to go through it. But when I do I will publish it right away. I did get to say hi to Alex and he saw me but none of my questions were answered. He was really funny and entertaining and so smart. He’s one of a kind for sure.

I just missed this show yesterday and I was kicking myself for not watching it. But I knew that Deb at LOL would follow through for me and I would be able to see it.,  Alex O’Loughlin really stole everyone’s heart on The Bonnie Hunt show. The part that killed me was when he was talking about all his friends calling him BRO and how he should be pitching the ball at the Dodger’s game (pictures of that here).

Remember that his new show, Three Rivers, is on CBS this Sunday. Don’t forget. And I’ll be attending a live chat with Alex tomorrow and I’ll be sure to write about that too.
