I can’t believe that the issue that Ellen Degeneres has been talking about all year is finally out. Ellen is covering the December 2009 issue of O with Oprah . I think the covers turned out amazing! This is only the second time in the magazine’s history that Oprah has shared the cover with someone else.
What did Oprah say about Ellen while they were doing the photo shoot?
“When Ellen arrived at the photo shoot for our cover, I didn’t have to ask her how she was doing: it showed on her face,” says Oprah. “She radiated the kind of peace and satisfaction that comes only when you’re living at your highest potential.”
I think Ellen is a great role-model.

I know it’s November but somehow this October 2009 issue of the Swedish Elle with Hayden Panettiere on the cover slipped by without me seeing. It’s so beautiful so I had to share it now. I love the peach dress Hayden is wearing, I need to get one for myself. I am not a dress person but I am loving that one!

It seems like the day of the magazines, I always love the first of the month so I can see them all. Leighton Meester is on the cover of the December 2009 issue of Glamour magazine. Leighton always looks amazing in magazines.
I love the quote she gives at the end of the interview. I am sure many celebrities would like to be able to say the same thing she does.
“I’m proud of the work that I’ve done. I don’t care what people label me as. If they want to say I’m an actress, and I should never sing, that’s fine. If they know me for my music, because they don’t watch my show or my movies, that’s fine, too. I’m doing what I want with my life. I just do…me.”
I think she’s great at all she does…don’t stop Leighton.

Blake Lively is on all the covers of the magazines Robert Pattinson isn’t on for the month of December 2009. And here she is on the cover of Marie Claire. This issue hits news stands on November 10th. Here are some of the highlights from the interview in the magazine.
On one of the remarkable things about you is your ability to imagine yourself in situations that are much bleaker than what you’ve experienced in your own life. As a character, I get to be this wild, outgoing person that I’m so not. I think it all comes from being the youngest of five. I was always observing my siblings and hearing stories about their lives that turned out to to be helpful as an actress.
Do you think of yourself as Southern, even though you grew up in L.A.? I grew up in L.A., but I was the only one in my family born there. I have a tight-knit Southern family, so whenever I tell people I’m from L.A., they say, “Yeah but you don’t count,†I guess because of the Southern values I was raised with , and the way I eat – the more sugary and cheesy and fried, the better.
The way you dress is so bold. You seem very comfortable with yourself right now. Living in New York, I feel stronger and more like a woman than ever before. In high school, it was like, what power do I have – I have long blonde hair, you know? But working as hard as I do now, I feel a sense of power and respect, too. And I’ve learned an incredible amount about fashion on Gossip Girl. Clothes are a personal expression, and my style is as ever-changing as I am: I’m growing, maturing, developing, I’m going through new things in my life, and with that, what I choose to wear changes.

I am sorry for all the Robert Pattinson posts but right now I can’t keep up with everything he’s doing. After being disappointed with the Vanity Fair interview I know that Harper’s Bazaar isn’t going to disappoint with its December 2009 issue. The interview was adorable between Rob and Kristen Stewart showing how the two of them have a chemistry you just can’t deny. (No, I’m not admitting that they are a couple.)
Here are 11 things you didn’t know about Rob and Kristen:
Rob on driving: “My dad’s a car dealer, but I grew up in London, so I always say I don’t drive…I get driven. I got a driving lesson in Oregon, and then I bought a car in L.A. and I basically learned how to drive by people honking at me. I’m terrible at driving.”
Kristen on Cats vs Dogs: If she could be an animal, she’d be a cat. “With cats, you’re like, ‘Come here!’ And they’re standing there being like, ‘F*ck you!’”
Rob on laundry: “In London, doing the washing was a bi-annual thing, a giant mission. Me and my flatmate had BMX [bikes] and we’d have two of them and this massive laundry sack, a convoy.”
Rob on menswear: “I think it’s sexy when chicks wear black slouchy trousers — fitted, but slouchy. I look at designer clothes on Rob and I’m like, ‘I want those pants, man.’”
Rob on anonymity: “I kind of wish people didn’t know who I am, that I could just lie, say I’m a speechwriter for Obama. This is what I said before Twilight. And then Obama came along and picked up all these young writers. I found out this guy, Jon Favreau — who’s not the actor Jon Favreau — is writing for him. And I was like, ‘Wow, I wonder if the people who thought I was bullshitting at the time are like, ‘Oh my god. That guy! That kid who was drunk in some bar actually wrote the health care bill!’”
Kristen on her height: “I’m 5′6″. I feel like I should be taller. I feel like I’m smaller than my mental stature. I should be 5′10″. 5′10″ would be very good.”
Rob on money: “I don’t spend any money. The only thing I’ve really bought is my car, which cost $1,500 and keeps exploding. It would be nice to buy a house for my parents, but at the same time my parents are so comfortable where they live; they would probably just feel like it was a burden. I wear the same clothes every day and the only thing I used to splurge on was DVDs.”
Kristen on acting: “Anything that I do for work, I’m nervous about. If I’m not nervous about it, then I shouldn’t be doing it.”
Rob on modeling: “I peaked at 12. There are so many photos from that time where I look unbearably awkward. I’d just be looking in random directions and stuff.”
Kristen on baking: “I make really good pie. Apple pie — it’s the best.”
Rob on dancing: He says dancing makes him nervous. “I used to be really good, but then something happened in my brain.”

Blake Lively is the cover girl for the November 2009 issue of Nylon magazine. In the issue she talks about her friends, riding elephants and how she’s like Serena.
On punking her friends: “I swipe my friends with, like, my phone or something, – I slide it in their butts. Like in middle school! You say ‘Visa! Mastercard!’ Just to give somebody a jump. I’m a prankster.â€
On riding elephants on her recent vacation to Thailand, India and the Maldives: “Elephants are the most incredible creatures I’ve ever been around. You’re sitting in this water that they poop in, and somehow it’s not gross. You’re scrubbing the bottom of their feet and behind their ears…â€
On her empathetic nature: “I feel a lot. I get really bad stomachaches all the time. So I went to a doctor, and he said, ‘You’re an feeler.’ I take on people’s pain a little too much.â€
Is she completely different from Serena? “No, because I dress just like Serena! I own half her wardrobe, so it’s far too similar to the way I dress. I feel ridiculous at times with her – because I’m, you know, killing someone or marrying someone, but I look like me. I’m like, ‘Oh, this is absurd.’”
Blake on her new film, The Private Lives of Pippa Lee. “I had a leash around my neck, and Julianne Moore was taking pictures. I thought, What am I doing with my life? What is happening? How is this a good idea?”
