Blake Lively is on all the covers of the magazines Robert Pattinson isn’t on for the month of December 2009. And here she is on the cover of Marie Claire. This issue hits news stands on November 10th. Here are some of the highlights from the interview in the magazine.
On one of the remarkable things about you is your ability to imagine yourself in situations that are much bleaker than what you’ve experienced in your own life. As a character, I get to be this wild, outgoing person that I’m so not. I think it all comes from being the youngest of five. I was always observing my siblings and hearing stories about their lives that turned out to to be helpful as an actress.
Do you think of yourself as Southern, even though you grew up in L.A.? I grew up in L.A., but I was the only one in my family born there. I have a tight-knit Southern family, so whenever I tell people I’m from L.A., they say, “Yeah but you don’t count,†I guess because of the Southern values I was raised with , and the way I eat – the more sugary and cheesy and fried, the better.
The way you dress is so bold. You seem very comfortable with yourself right now. Living in New York, I feel stronger and more like a woman than ever before. In high school, it was like, what power do I have – I have long blonde hair, you know? But working as hard as I do now, I feel a sense of power and respect, too. And I’ve learned an incredible amount about fashion on Gossip Girl. Clothes are a personal expression, and my style is as ever-changing as I am: I’m growing, maturing, developing, I’m going through new things in my life, and with that, what I choose to wear changes.

Reese Witherspoon is the cover girl for the November 2009 issue of Marie Claire. (May I ask where the year went?) Reese looks very cute on this cover and they didn’t seem to mess it up too much with deluxe photoshopping.
And there is some stories in that magazine I just have to read.

I love this October 2009 cover for Marie Claire. Drew Barrymore and Ellen Page are so cute together. The interviewer for this copy said that when Drew and Ellen walked in they could hardly keep their hands off each other. I guess that explains the kiss that happens later on (pictures below). They both star in the movie Whip It about rollerblading. I have to say that the interview is something else you will have to read it in the issue yourself.

Eva Mendes is the cover girl for the September 2009 issue of the UK edition of Marie Claire. I was watching Hitch the other night and I was realizing I hadn’t seen Eva lately, and then I saw this cover. Here are the highlights of the interview in the magazine:
On her Calvin Klein adverts that were banned in the States: “You can’t show your nipples, apparently, in the States. But you can blow up anything you please in a movie or on TV.â€
On her curves: “I love my curves and I embrace them, but I have to walk a fine line. There are certain dresses that are like: ‘Oh, this is really feminine. This isn’t sexy at all’, but then I’d try it on and it just turned. I think it comes down to being voluptuous, and if your body’s a certain way, then things can go distasteful in a second.â€
On regular therapy sessions: “I love therapy! I’m very into it. I’m very in touch with my feelings, so I’m a completely different person. Not that different, but there’s nothing like going in and sitting down and talking to someone who has no emotional tie to your life. Just to talk to someone. It’s amazing.â€
On visiting cemeteries: “I love cemeteries. They’re so beautiful and peaceful.â€
I am a huge fan of cemeteries myself. I used to live by one growing up and I was always there. It’s true. It’s one of the quietest places in the world.

Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, and Ginnifer Goodwin are starring in the new movie, He’s Just Not That Into You, that comes out tomorrow. They are Marie Claire magazine’s March 2009 cover girls. How cute do they look on the cover? In the interview in the magazine they talk about hookups, breakups, and the importance of girlfriends. Here are the highlights:
On the lamest break up line:
Drew Barrymore: Definitely the classic: “It’s not you, it’s me.”
Ginnifer Goodwin: Oh my gosh, I’ve dished that out, and I’ve taken it.
Jennifer Aniston: You cover all your bases with that one.
Drew: I hate getting “It’s not you, it’s me,” because I’m never gonna learn and grow from that. I don’t want to live on lies and smoke and mirrors and horseshit. No way.
On the first thing they do after a break up:
Drew: Head straight for the carbs. Macaroni and cheese. Kraft. Deluxe. The kind with the cheese you squeeze out of a bag that takes at least a month to pass through your body.
Jennifer: I don’t eat a lot. I go straight to my girlfriends, though.
Ginnifer: The first thing I do is call my little sister. She drops everything.
Drew: She parachutes in?
Ginnifer: Yes! I’ll call and say, “I’m breaking up right now, come get me.” She absolutely has picked me up from hookups, with coffee in hand. [At press time, Goodwin had just broken up with actor Chris Klein.]
On how they would choose to meet men if they weren’t celebrities:
Drew: Drunk in a bar. No, wait — kidding!
Jennifer: I’d have to be dragged out to places. Well, like I am now.
Marie Claire: No match.com? No Facebook?
Jennifer: No, no, no. The Internet freaks me out.
Ginnifer: I think it’s the devil. We’re pack animals! We’re supposed to be connecting face-to-face.
Jennifer: The Internet warps reality. If you’re an Internet person, real life will fall short of what you have been privy to online — sexually, emotionally. It’s so unreal and gives you this sense of order where there isn’t any. You can’t drag and paste life!
You can catch the rest of the interview in the magazine on news stands now.

Renee Zellweger sure is pulling out the pink for February 2009 issue of Cosmopolitan. Renee has been out of the public eye for a while now. In the interview included she talks about marriage and being single. Here are some highlights:
On marriage: “I never say never about anything, because I look back on my own personal history and it shocks me. If I would ever have said, ‘Oh for sure this is going to be in my future,’ most of my experiences would not have been on my list. So I don’t even bother thinking about it, because I’ve learned that there’s no anticipating that stuff.â€
On being one of the single ladies: “The thing is, I’m away all the time (she has farmhouse on Long Island undergoing perpetual renovation and an apartment in New York). I suppose if I sat still long enough to get to know somebody beyond a dinner date, maybe. But I don’t feel like my life is empty or that I have to make something happen. I have projects to develop. I want to study American history and political science, live in an apartment in France, and fix my bad French. And is there really time for all of it? Last summer, when I said it wasn’t the right time for something I wanted to do, a friend asked, ‘How long are you going to live?’†Then she offers that gentle smirk of hers, “I’m not single, I’m busy. (laughs) That’s my line.â€
Why does everyone want to talk about marriage to these celebs. I have banned Valentine’s Day until further notice.
