I have been waiting to see this trailer for The Lovely Bones for a while now. The lead role played by Mark Wahlberg, was orginally going to be played by Ryan Gosling, I would have loved to see Ryan in that role. Now we can see how Mark will do in this dark movie. I am surprised at how Peter Jackson decided to tackle the movie in itself, it looks a little like James And The Giant Peach and Pleasantville all wrapped in one.

The movie is based on the movie by Alice Sebold. I have to admit that I cried pretty much through the whole book and read it fast so I could see how it ended. It’s the story that centers on a young girl who has been murdered and watches over her family – and her killer – from heaven. She must weigh her desire for vengeance against her desire for her family to heal.

You can see the movie in theaters in December.

Mark Wahlberg took his daughter, Ella, to a basketball game on Christmas Day. What a special treat. The L.A. Lakers were playing against the Boston Celtics. And the Lakers of course won. It’s so cute to see a dad out with his daughter!
