I found this song tonight while on my YouTube travels. You know how they are when you are looking at one thing and it leads to something totally different? That’s how I found this song. It’s Set The Fire To The Third Bar by SnowPatrol (featuring Martha Waynewright). Now that I love it and it’s by SnowPatrol really doesn’t come as a surprise. The lyrics and the singing absolutely broke my heart. So, because of that I have listened to it on repeat ever since I first heard it.
P.S. It’s also been featured in the trailer for Dear John. I know people have been flocking to this song because of that movie too.
I have been trying not get sucked into the whole Ke$ha phase. I wouldn’t look at any pictures she was in, I would make sure I turned off all music where I thought she sang. But then the inevitable happened. I was told to “check out” this song (Your Love Is My Drug). I really don’t know if “check out” was really used but it works for this. I listened to a couple of minutes and then I thought I was going to die. I was trying to resist liking it but it grew on me. And now it’s on my iPod and I play it constantly. I hope this phase ends quickly.
And I dare you to just listen to it once. It hooks you in the first time.
I was watching The Cleaner the other day and I heard this song 9 Crimes by Damien Rice. I cried so hard during that part of the show. And honestly I haven’t stopped listening to it since then. I also heard it in one of the Shrek movies too. There is just something about it that I can’t get enough of., Music is a huge part of my life. Without it I probably wouldn’t be able to function. I like this version of the song better than the other ones I have heard. Let me know what you think of it.
