penn badgley daman magazine cover october 2009

It’s Gossip Girl guy magazine cover night. Penn Badgley is the October 2009 cover boy for DaMan magazine. I have to say this photo shoot is pretty hot. He looks good in dark clothes. He is relentless in the interview for the magazine slamming the paparazzi.

“There’s definitely the perks of being a celebrity and getting a table anywhere you want — but you can also focus on the negative side and how the paparazzi are the lowest scum on the planet — which they are.”

He’s in the movie Stepfather coming out in October.

Michelle Williams Does Vogue

Michelle Williams is the cover girl for the October 2009 issue of Vogue. She talks about Heath Ledger and her daughter, Matilda. Here are the highlights from the interview:

On boundaries: “I didn’t know what my boundaries were for a long time, which made interviews feel very unsafe. I can talk about grief, because that’s mine; about single parenting; about trying to balance work and kids. But what I don’t have to talk about is what happened between Heath and me in our relationship.”

Coping after Ledger’s untimely death: “I was holding it together by a string and a paper clip in the fall and winter. I didn’t know if I could keep it all together… You console yourself by saying it’s all a deepening process. But it’s wired. After the first year, the pain is less intense; it’s less immediate. But the magical thinking goes away too. And that’s a whole new reckoning. But every time I really miss him and wonder where he’s gone, I just look at [Mathilda.]”

The happy times: “‘Brokeback Mountain’ was an unrepeatable moment in time, a very charmed time in my life. I was in love; I was in a movie I was proud to be a part of, and with a beautiful brand-new baby. Everything was good in that moment.”

Dealing with the paparazzi presence: “It’s because of this tragedy that there’s more paparazzi. That is hard to be graceful and understanding about… It’s hard to be the man and the woman in that [paparazzi] situation. Heath always used to do that for us.”

Falling in love: “I thought falling in love again was the only thing that was going to save me from the pain. This erroneous idea: It just makes things more complicated.”

What the future holds: “I feel hopeful and grateful. For a while I thought we had lost everything. It makes you want to love better and liver better.”

Kristen Stewart Out Takes From Dazed & Confused

Kristen Stewart

I love this photo shoot that Kristen Stewart did for the September 2009 issue of Dazed & Confused. It shows that yes, Kristen is beautiful no matter what anyone says.

In the interview she did with the magazine she talked about paparazzi getting crazy since being in Twilight, her role as Joan Jett and her future plans. Here are the highlights:

On the craziness of the paparazzi since being in Twilight: Yeah since Twilight. That’s the only reason they’re out there. They find out where I am from the Internet – from Twitter, man! Anyone who wants to know where I am at any given time just has to go on Twitter, it’s so ridiculous!

On being Joan Jett being different from her experience in Twilight: It’s so much fun. She’s the ultimate badass. She was the first woman to start her own record label. Everybody threw her out after the Runaways and was like, ‘Sorry girl, your shticks over’, she was like ‘No, the message stays the same people still want to hear it.’ Who the **ck did that before her? The music industry is brutal. Once there’s one wave, one explosion of a type of music, everyone jumps on the bandwagon and tries to emulate that, so there’s a bunch of shitty versions of other bands. So there’s like sh*tty versions of everybody!

On identifying with the role: Yeah, it’s been awesome working on this. I’ve gotten to do a lot of great roles recently. I just made a film in New Orleans- and its going to sound funny because I play a 16 year old street kid prostitute stripper – but it’s the one film so far I mostly identify with. I play such a child, like she has the emotional stability of a 5 year old; she’s in her own little world that she had to close off at a certain point. She’s at that point where she’s not quite over the edge like a lot of those people, and I met a lot of them in New Orleans, talking to people who had done the job for so long.

On her future plans: I know that will just naturally become other things, other than just acting in movies. I don’t know what the **ck I’m going to do. I write s**t or whatever. I am going to make my own movies with my friends, absolutely, and I might not only act in them. But really? I love this, I love what I do, I am definitely going to keep doing it if I feel this way about it. That could stop, but until then, I’m just going to just write, make movies, play music.

Kristen Stewart Is Dazed & Confused

Posted by taylor blue on August 18, 2009 | No Comments

Kristen Stewart Dazed and Confused Cover

Kristen Stewart is on the cover of the British magazine, Dazed & Confused. The interview is mostly about dealing with fame. It seems fitting since lately it seems the paparazzi can’t stay away from her and her co-star, Robert Pattinson.

“The fact is, the paparazzi and most interviewers, they want your soul. It’s so scary because your persona … and I guess I now have one, because people think of me in a certain way … is all based entirely on quick snippets of crazed moments in your life. And that is what people then base their entire opinion of me on!”

She goes on to say that she is careful to what is said to the media since she knows they can twist it around.

“Anything you say can come and bite you in the ***. It’s not even like you say things you don’t mean, it’s just that sometimes they come out wrong.”

I think people misunderstand Kristen. She is well spoken, she just has to watch what she says because of the paparazzi. It doesn’t look that situation will be getting any better either. Let’s hope she just keeps on doing what she’s doing now.

Ashley Olsen Covers Marie Claire

Ashley Olsen Marie Claire September 2009 Cover

Ashley Olsen is the September 2009 cover girl for Marie Claire magazine. I love how old and stylish she looks on the cover. In the interview she talks about her fashion secrets among other things. Here are the highlights:

On her and Mary-Kate’s name: Mary-Kate and I never really wanted our names on a bunch of different things. It wasn’t us — it never felt like us.

On driving and the paparazzi: I love driving. But sometimes I’m not too good with it because I spend too much time looking in the rearview mirror if I know I’m being followed. You don’t respond like, ‘Oh, there’s paparazzi.’ It’s more like, ‘There’s a man, and he’s gonna attack me.’ That’s how your body responds.

On being born with a sense of style: I think you’re either born with a sense of style or you’re not. Either you care or you don’t. And we”—she and Mary-Kate—”love fashion. When we were going to NYU, I think that was the first time we were aware of the power of our personal style. Not the power of it, but the result of it. Between the big sunglasses and the Starbucks cup and the big sweaters, the hobo-chic thing, we were more shocked than anything.

Vanessa Hudgens Covers Parade Magazine

Vanessa Hudgens July 2009 Parade Cover

Vanessa Hudgens is the pinup cover girl for Parade magazine this week. I am liking this new grown-up Vanessa. In the interview she talks about the haters, the paparazzi and being a mom’s girl. Here are the highlights:

On the nude picture scandal and how she’s moving on from it: “That’s why I’m extremely guarded. I really do try to watch everything I say. Because one little tiny slip, and it’s like the world is coming to an end! It is hard. I do always have a wall up. But I feel by doing it, I keep myself safe. I try to live my life, do what I want, and just let everything else follow along. I try not to read the blogs or what people say about me. Because that’s what brings everybody down–no matter what you do, you’re always going to have haters.”

On hiding from the paparazzi: “I keep my head down. Usually I’ll run around in hoodies, and I’ve got this massive head of hair, and I throw it all in my face so that nobody can see me. But if I want to do something, I’m going to do it, and if people recognize me, the fans, then great. They’re the reason why High School Musical is what it is, and they’re the reason why I’m here, so I’m thankful.”

On being a mama’s girl: “I got her fired once. I was calling her at work way too much, because I missed her. Back then, I was so shy, I did not want to leave her side. I would call her at work nonstop, to the point where she got fired. It was horrible.”

On moving out of her parents house: “I feel like I need to earn my right to have a home. It’s nice to be spoiled, but I want to be able to know that I can do it. [My parents] know I’m growing up, and they’re proud that I can actually have my own home. Of course I think they’re worried to a certain extent. But they’re so proud of me.”

On getting used to living on her own: “It’s weird living by myself. I thought I’d be the person who, every time I hear a little noise, would hide under my bed. But I’ve fallen in love with my home. When I’m in there, I feel safe. I don’t think I’ve gotten scared once–knock on wood–in my house by myself. Then again, I do sleep with the TV on so that I don’t hear all the little clinks and clanks at night!”
