I was crushed when Pushing Daisieswas canceled. I loved the show. And I have to admit that when they showed the last three episodes of the show I didn’t watch them. I wanted to leave the show the last way I remembered. And now I seem to see the cast every where. Anna Friel is in a photo spread for the August 2009 issue of UK Glamour. I love the photo shoot they did with her.
She is starring in the movie, Land of the Lost, with Will Ferrell, and she said that she struggled with playing the sexy assistant. She decided that her favorite part of her body, that she thinks is sexy, is her legs.
“I personally think my legs are better than my boobs. I was a little worried at first, but in the end, the general consensus was to go with the legs. I was relieved because all the original sketches showed my character with a little shirt tied barely an inch above my midriff. All in all, I’d rather show my legs than my tummy. I find that sexier, and fortunately the director agreed.”
Anna also says she feels the pressure to stay thin in Hollywood these days.
“You do have to stay slim, and you can’t make excuses. Looking good is a serious business and you have to make a decision to go along with it or else you’re just not going to get the work. In the beginning, I had such an awful time that I just wanted to run back home. But, looking back today, I’m glad I stuck it out. I never aspired to be the pretty girl because, if that’s all you’re known for, then you’re going to have a pretty short career.”
I think she looks great. I don’t know what she is worrying about.
I am obsessed with television. I’m really sorry. It kind of goes with the territory though when I love to focus on television shows. The networks have released most of the yes’ and no’s for the 2009-2010 season. (I’m still holding out for Chuck!)
I decided I would pick some of my favorites from each network and tell you if they have been renewed or not (Or could be renewed or canceled). And if you find a puddle of water at the bottom of the post don’t mind it. It’s just because I’ve cried over my canceled shows. (This year though I think the only one that I watch that is in jeopardy is Chuck.)

I have been dying to find out any information about the final three episodes of Pushing Daisies. Even though I can’t lost really being interested in it after I heard that the show was canceled. So here is what I have learnt. The Paleyfest television festival is going on in April, this is when the last three episodes will be aired there and will have Bryan Fuller there to introduce them.
And if you can’t get there to see it…like me…the rest of us can see it during the summer when ABC will be trying to boost the sales of the season 2 DVD set. Why? Oh WHY?
I can’t believe that they canceled Pushing Daisies! There was just something about the show that I loved. The way it looked different than the others was a great big grabber. I always watched to see if Ned and Chuck would ever touch. I know they are showing the episodes that they still have but will it be worth it? I will still have more questions at the end.
It seems like forever since Pushing Daises was first on…I totally fell in love with this show from the start. I loved how it looked different and surreal. And how I over analyze if the two characters are touching or not. OR maybe I just need a life. I can’t wait for this show to come back already. (Note: This is the same one they showed at Comic Con.)
