Reese Witherspoon is the cover girl for the November 2009 issue of InStyle magazine. Reese has always been one of my favorite celeb moms. In the interview with the magazine she talks about Jake Gyllenhaal, divorce and her time off. Here are the highlights.
On spending time with Jake: “Jake is a great cook, he does a lot. We spend the weekends outside of LA, where I have a farmhouse. We have chickens & we grow cucumbers & tomatoes. It reminds me of where I grew up in Tennessee.â€
On divorce: “You reconsider certain things, but you just have to keep going, You have to keep it together for your kids and yourself too. I’m trying to learn from the things that have happened in my life, live more in the moment, and have more fun.
On her time off: “I try to exercise every day. I like to run for about an hour, and I’m big into working out with girlfriends.â€
Jake can cook? I can only imagine how cool that would be.

Reese Witherspoon is the cover girl for the November 2009 issue of Marie Claire. (May I ask where the year went?) Reese looks very cute on this cover and they didn’t seem to mess it up too much with deluxe photoshopping.
And there is some stories in that magazine I just have to read.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon were spotted enjoying a lazy Sunday afternoon strolling around Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice, California. Shopping was probably on that list since they have shopping bags with them.
I’m just so happy to finally see some new pictures of Jake! It’s been so long!

I think sometimes this world is lacking something in it’s everyday life. People are quick to look at gossip and silly things on TV, and not look around them. Yes, I write this ‘gossip’ blog and I’ve actually made a business of it now. And I know that I want to use my ‘popularity’ for something good. If you have noticed TEN Gossip has turned around to doing positive stories. Why do we need to always cut someone down? Celebrities are people too and they deserve our respect because they keep many of us employed and they give us entertainment so we wouldn’t die of boredom. So we as a site have committed to doing just that, respecting them.
Four months ago I met WillowRaine. And she showed me that yes, I could focus on the positive and really try and make it. (And I had backup from Rosy too.) Willow focused on the charity side of celebrities, and I really enjoyed getting to know celebrities like Jackson Rathbone, Jimmy Fallon and Reese Witherspoon for the good they have done for other people. I wish that people would be more open minded sometimes about the non-gossip things in the world.
Because of Willow’s amazing heart I helped by getting her on her feet with a website where she could talk about charties and her heart all she wanted. It’s been up for a couple of days and I am loving the site already. She’s taken on some hard issues already like Whale Wars on Animal Planet and why you should stop paying for that darn channel and just send the money to help the whales already and her recent post on Apathy and how it can be deadly really touched my heart.
So open your heart and mind, and realize you don’t have to change anything what you are doing, but if it does make you want to make a change then go for it. Check out WillowRaine’s new site at We Should All Care. Like Willow always says to me, “If I only make a difference to ONE person, if I ONLY change ONE person’s mentality, even on some minute scale, then I feel as if I have accomplished something amazing.”

Whether you know her from “Man In The Moon” , “Cruel Intentions”, “Walk The Line”, “Just Like Heaven” or one of her many other projects, one thing is true of Reese Witherspoon, she is an angel. A true southern belle, in grace, poise, respect and her giving attitude. Reese captured my heart a long time ago with her acting, she has always been a favorite of mine, but becoming familiar with her charity work, well, let’s just say that soft spot for her has increased ten fold. She donates her time and/or financial support to the following AFGHAN RELIEF ORGANIZATION they Deliver relief aid directly into the hands of the needy throughout Afghanistan, and offers general education programs designed to encourage self sufficiency at the ARO Technology Education Center (TEC) in Kabul. She also helps out AVON FOUNDATION Who are Committed to the mission of improving the lives of women and their families, particularly focusing on breast cancer and domestic violence. Her next charity? CHILDREN DEFENSE FUND Their goal is to ensure every child a Healthy Start, a Head Start, a Fair Start, a Safe Start, and a Moral Start in life and successful passage to adulthood with the help of caring families and communities. (Love that cause, love it). Next she lends her support to DECLARE YOURSELF A national nonpartisan, nonprofit campaign initiated in 2004 to energize and empower a new movement of young voters.
Think I’m going to stop there? No, because she doesn’t. I know right, just keep reading. *Smile* FILM FOUNDATION Their cause?Protecting motion pictures and the rights of the artists who create them, educating the public about the importance of film preservation, and raising the necessary funds to save the endangered cinematic treasures of the 20th century. She also helps out with FOOD BANK NYC, THE LUNCHBOX FUND They help to provide food to disadvantaged children in order to help them grow and achieve their goals. Also, Reese gives to TOY MOUNTAIN Collecting new, unwrapped toys for less fortunate children during the holiday season. And last, but certainly not least, she also commits to UNIFEM the women’s fund at the United Nations. It supports projects that promote women’s economic security, human rights and status.
I’ve always heard of southern hospitality. If Reese isn’t the embodiment of that. If she isn’t everything that we as women, we as human beings need to strive for, then I don’t know what is. I have been impressed, and amazed beyond intelligent speech. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Reese for leading the way, and showing that one person can TRULY make a difference. You really are an angel.
