Ryan Gosling: Grand Theft Auto Style

Posted by on September 25, 2011 | No Comments

I know that everyone was thinking when they say that Ryan Gosling was going to be in a stunt man movie that it would be cool if someone drew him to look like someone on Grand Theft Auto.  Well, worry no more. The September 2011 issue of The Guardian Guide touches upon this exact thing on the cover of their magazine. You have to admit. Ryan looks pretty good as a cartoon.

Drive is in theaters now!

George Clooney Covers Parade Magazine

Posted by on September 22, 2011 | No Comments

George Clooney has been busy promoting his new movie which he also directed, Ides of March, (which also stars Ryan Gosling) and he also covers this week’s issue of Parade magazine. Here are some of the highlights of the interview in the issue:

On why he avoids social media: “I don’t tweet, I don’t go on Facebook. I think there’s too much information about all of us out there. I’m liking the idea of privacy more and more. There will be funny things, like I’ll read something I’ve said about a woman somewhere. And I haven’t spoken about my relationships in 15 years.”

On how aging has changed his career: “I look at myself onscreen and go, ‘I don’t look like I did when I was 40—I know that.’ The people I’ve respected most in the industry over the years—Paul Newman, for instance. I just loved the way he handled growing old onscreen. It’s understanding that you’re now basically a character actor.”

On how he handled rejection as a young actor: “I had to stop going to auditions thinking, ‘Oh, I hope they like me.’ I had to go in thinking I was the answer to their problem. The greatest lesson I learned was that sometimes you have to fake it. And you have to be willing to fail.”

On why The Ides of March is relevant: “We were in preproduction on this film in 2007, before the Obama election. And then we realized that a good portion of the country was elated with what happened in that election, so we had to shelve the movie until people were cynical again. I didn’t think it would be quite this quick [Laughs].”

On the practical jokes: “There’s good fun in watching those play out. And, hey, my friends are rough on me, too. Brad Pitt’s brutal, and Matt Damon. My friends used to change my outgoing phone message all the time. This was the old days, when you had a phone machine. They would change the message to something horrible and there was nothing I could do to change it back. That was always brilliant.”

Ryan Gosling Covers Esquire Magazine

Posted by on September 10, 2011 | No Comments

This September 2011 issue of Esquire came out in August but since Ryan Gosling is at the Toronto Film Festival this weekend promoting The Ides of March with George Clooney I just had to post this now. Isn’t the cover cute? I know that having two Ryan’s around would be just as perfect as having one!  Here are highlights from the interview with the magazine:

On being recognized: “It’s like being in a dream. You don’t know anybody, but everybody knows you, everybody reacts to you. You can be walking along in a dream, through a pretty normal world, and then bam, everything seems to be a response to your presence. Everything seems to be driven by you. And that’s notable at first, and you deal with it. And then – and it happens every time – you become aware it’s a dream. Right about then, when you think you have it figured, and that acknowledging that will make it easier, it inevitably becomes a nightmare.”

On why it’s pretty sweet to be an adult: “Sometimes I think that the one thing I love most about being an adult is the right to buy candy whenever and wherever I want.”

On puberty: “I went through puberty in a theme park. I’m grateful. That place was a landscape to me. I had adventures every day….Backstage at Disney World, there are stories. Mickey Mouse with his head off, drinking coffee on break. Pirates on the phone. Ghosts in line for food. It just made me see things.”

Kellan Lutz Covers Australia’s GQ Style Magazine

Posted by on September 3, 2011 | No Comments

Kellan Lutz shows off how muscular he is in the September 2011 issue of Australia’s GQ Style. I have to say that I’ve missed seeing him in magazines. So excuse me while I take the time to look over this one thoroughly. Here is an excerpt  of how he stays fit from the interview in the magazine:

“I get bored working out inside, so the beach has been my place lately,” he explained. “I run, I swim, I play paddleball, basketball, do some mixed martial arts. I like mixing this up.”

Whatever Kellan does..it works.

Kirsten Dunst Covers ELLE UK

Posted by on August 3, 2011 | No Comments

Kirsten Dunst is the September 2011 issue of ELLE magazine (the UK edition). Here are some of the quotes from the magazine:

Her tendency to go for the wrong guy: “We all want the bad guy who doesn’t give you what you want. I did a lot of sitting in my car, listening to sad music, crying over boys.”

On her unique smile: “I love my snaggle fangs. They give me character and character is sexy. People comment, but the only person who ever told me to fix them was my mom … I just went my own way, like daughters do.”
